Well predicted Mr Pinch. How embarrassing dear chap.

No prediction. No embarrassment, apart from the Bladey nonsense. Just pleasure for the team and delighted Billy back to form.

Performances like today justify his place, not where he comes from or which team he supports. That’s nonsense.

He gets some abuse on here, he's not as quick as he was, doesn't hold it up well and doesn't always get over involved.

But he's a Blade, he loves it and means it and he's a proper skipper, we'll be better with him in the team. Go on Billy lad, get a couple today against them bastards!!

Spot on mate.

The beating heart of the Blades is back, with the little magician pulling the strings behind; normal service resumed. All sharks are back in their cages - for now at least................

The OP was spot on. Rather a Bladey Blade than a sanctimonious keyboard rattler. Enjoy being a Blade. It’s what we are. No embarrassment and not worth falling out about. Pour yourself a drink and enjoy the victory .

Dear, oh dear. Embarrassing.

Then you’ve misunderstood it badly. I’ve nothing at all against Billy. The post, however, was and remains embarrassing.

Nonsense. I’m delighted at the result and Billy’s performance. I’m embarrassed by Bladey Claptrap.

Brilliant from Billy today. Love the bloke.

Still pains me that he didn't get a chance against the pigs.... I think his “bladey blade claptrap” would have got us something that day.

Anyway. Thanks Billy. Captain Fantastic. When he scores its always a little bit more sweeter. Legend.

Love the lad to bits. Great 1st goal but I wish to fuck he would put his pens in the corner. Both Preston and today have been just to the side of centre.

Yes I know both went in but still....

Anyway I'm being picky. Well done Billy lad.

If there are kids out there with aspirations of being a striker, watch Billy's movement first goal.

Dummies a run to the near post, defenders drop to their 6 yard line and instead of being drawn in with them, he checks his run, dips back 5 yards into the space they've left and is ice cool when the ball drops to him.

It's not just the finish, it's about as good a bit of strikering as you'll see anywhere. And the best thing? It's far from a one off or a fluke.

So much of what any good striker does is what they do off the ball.

Movement, anticipation and that predatory knack of finding space in tight situations.

Not a bad 1st touch back after a month or so absence from league duty ;)

Brilliant call pal, hope you had a few quid on that!!

His movement was exactly the same as Keith Edwards used to make to create space for himself in the box. Not sure I remember Keith producing such an athletic finish, though.
