If Fulham do the business against Luton tomorrow and become champions will we give them a guard of honour on Saturday?

When was the last time we have played the new champions elect on the last home game of the season?

Carnt think of any at home but 2 away !.
Grimsby beat us 4 nil at Blundell Park, late 70s.
We beat Portsmouth 1-0 at
Fratten Park, both matches were on the final day.
Silent will confirm or shoot it down

Not the last day, but I seem to remember we might have applauded Derby on the first day of 75/76 for their previous seasons title win? Not 100% sure though.

Would’ve been opening of new stand (south) year before I think.

Yes it was the first league game played in front of the the new stand.
Seem to remember seeing a picture of our players lined up near the John Street tunnel, including TC who was suspended for the match.

Sunderland away 1999 when I was mascot, as per my picture. We've probably done it since then, Reading 06?

Little did we know that that moment was the highlight of the season

Norwich in 85 or 86? Let 5 in and Edwards scored...

They weren't confirmed champions until after Man Utd's game at Anfield if memory serves. The Liverpool fans took great delight in singing "The title's gone to Leeds".
“You lost the league (you lost the league) on Merseyside (on Merseyside), you lost the league on Merseyside, na-na-na-na na-na-na. You lost the league on Merseyside.” was the one I remember holding the most delight for the scousers when Man U failed to get the necessary points that day.

I can't remember that at all. I do remember every time the Man Utd fans chanted "UNITED!" the Liverpool fans instantly responded with "LEEDS". Didn't the TV companies have cameras at Lee Chapman's house where he was sat with a couple of the other players including Cantona?

Guard their hotel the night before, fireworks through the night in celebration of their achievement
