And the Blades connection. .....?
Or the FA to breach their own rule book. The fact that we set the precedent for teams to cry to the courts when they aren't good enough to stay up, possibly?

the PL dont but they still have to follow the FA codes, in the Tevez situation there was no set punishment by PL rules so surely they are obliged to follow the FA code of conduct. it seemed not, they decided to stand by the decision NOT to deduct points and went with a heavy fine, with prizemoney massively inflated since 2007 i can only presume any club directly effected by sunderland not being deducted points will be paid £50m each by the mackhams?Does the premier not work under the FA code as lower leagues do. Or are they a law unto themselves. Playing an illegible player, you've got to lose points surely. Nothing against Sunderland, but I hate scudamore with a passion. Even before the blades debacle.
Not sure West Ham were happy to accept any punishment as they continued to play Tevez even after the ruling he was playing illegally and the PL had judged it was unfair on the West Ham fans to effectively relegate them.May be wrong here carling, but like west spam, Sunderland accept any punishment given, well in Sunderland case anyway. Poyet had been quoted as saying that he could quite understand if they were docked points. So having accepted the punishment given, why should Sunderland pay anyone anything. The FA / premier league or whoever set the punishment, in this case a hefty fine. If Cardiff, Fulham and another to be decided take it further, and they win, why not make the afore mentioned pay any compo necessary.
