Another away win , good performance again
another clean sheet
currently up to third

charlton wednesday and huddersfield all drop points
Wednesday let in a late goal and blow a 2 goal lead, not us

my word some will have nothing to moan about if this carries on

So far so good.
Wilson doing a good job.
He needs backing from McCabe
A lot of points still to play for and a long way to go yet.
The dreaded window will soon be upon us.
It can make or break the season.
UTB

2 home games coming up
MK Dons losing to preston as I write
progress over last 5 league results
3-0 1-0 1-0 3-0 2-0

cant say we are doing bad with no loan players in the team

Delighted with Danny Wilson, I never imagined the first half of the season would be as good as this, I was expecting mid table. Remember, it's still not his team yet, will be interesting to see what happens in January. Amazing that we have kept all those clean sheets when apparently we play without a left back......

But if you include the first 3-0 in the fa cup you have to include the later 3-2 as well. Selective stats there, but good results none the less

As Jordan Rhodes scored all 4 goals for Udders, wonder how his dad, andy (Wendy's keeper coach) reacted in the Wendy dugout!

I would imagine the instructions were,

whichever way the striker puts the ball, dive the other way

Thought Maguire was excellant today....kept it simple and defended without trying anything fancy.
Great support, good performance, car buzzing on way home

I was listening to radio Solent on the drive back and thery were very complimentary about the Blades. Clinical. slick different class etc. It was sweet listening. i nearly choked when I heard us referred to as a good passing side - who would believe it. There were moments of dross today ( Porter) but some moments of very good football. Well done lads and the santa congo and the chant of " Robbie Savage from Matalan" made for an enjoyable and festive day out.

Long way to go and lots of points to play for. Bearing in mind we are averaging 2 points per game thats good enough to get us promotion. Charlton won't keep it up (their starting to wobble now) and neither will the pork.

This is a team in development and I'm pleased as can be for DW. Came in to a background of idiots prattling on about his past association with the unclean, kept his head down and has done exactly what has been asked of him.

Thus far all we could ask for. Keep it going and we will be celebrating come May.

Looking forward to singing 'One Agent Wilson' to the grunters at their hole..

????????

For the very short time he had on the pitch he was OK...the only mistake he made was trying to set up Evans instead of maybe shooting himself.....but if he had shot I am sure some would have moaned

Decent, solid performance yesterday. We we're far from spectacular, but Bournemouth never troubled us. Don't remember them creating an opportunity all game. Thought it was a scrappy affair and not pretty to watch, but it was a professional performance from the Blades. 2 nil away from home you absolutely cannot grumble at, even if the Santa congo was the most entertaining point of the match!? ;) Credit to Simmonsen who looks a assured and completely reformed, the two centre backs who were the best players on the pitch and Cresswell for putting in a shift, leading the line well and being the first line of defence. McDonald controlled the game in midfield and showed an excellent range of passing, Williamson was frustrating going forward but tracked back well and worked hard, Quinn was poor and Evans had a slight off day but was involved in the 2 goals (and looks dangerous).

We're definately one of the 5 best teams in the division. If we keep Evans and make one or two additions in January, then I think we can push on for automatic promotion. I am confident that we will keep turning over teams like Bournemouth, Yeovil etc at home (convincingly) and that we'll pick up points away at Colchester, Brentford, Exeter etc. However we have some tough games away at Pigs, Huddersfield, MK Dons and Charlton (the other promotion contenders) and these could define our season.

I'll write a report later if I get the time ......

And Simmo's sticky patch (non sticky patch).
we draw with wendies and in the next few games give points away. A good manager would sort out these problems. Oh it seems he has, constantly looking to improve players,I think Wilson is getting things right and its so enjoyable at the Lane at the moment.

By all accounts it upset the Pork, mind you one of them reverted to type and responded to my text telling him to be careful tonights because the Rhodes are dangerous by spending an abusive text message back about Gary Speed.

Class, you've either got it, or you haven't.

One thing we need to do, is not get too carried away and keep our heads down and quietly accumulating points, rather than getting over confident and shouting from the rooftops. Leave that to the unclean, and quietly go about our business.

notts county and hartlepool at home , a chance to continue the run
and Wednesday away at Walsall and Preston , who did for MK Dons and were the better side and a Mellor double doing them will be nice
imagine going above Wednesday thanks to Mellor , how sweet

Currently, we've the equal best goals for at home, and equal best defence away from home.

How'd have thought it? ..... not me, but certainly enjoying it.

Well done lads.

Has a team ever not got promoted averaging 2 points per game?

What did Sunderland get the year Forest and Boro went up when they lost the p.o.f on pens?

A couple of the lads thought it was a poor match but I really enjoyed the game; great atmosphere & good result. I was also impressed by the Bournemouth staff & stewards, I thought they were a credit to their club. Evans looks a class above at the moment!
