Remember when Long was first choice last season and then Cloughy came in and put Howard in as his number 1 and the defence took on a rigidity that no one had seen all season? The explanation was that now they had confidence in their keeper they weren't as desperate to "get rid" of the ball - there was less panicking.
When Turner first came in for the injured Howard I was reading that he was looking good but it wasn't long before our form downturned and the defence was being described as a shambles.
Now, you'll possibly know from my alias that I'm not a regular at BDTBL (if you know that BC is British Columbia - Canada) so I'm only going on what I've read but I wonder how much having Howard back will get us more back on track? Were there semblances of the defence from a few weeks back in the turnout on Saturday?
