1-0: Swansea make a passing move outside our box. They play it into the feet of Trundle who takes it across the box. Monty gets involved and fouls him. Penalty, which Trundle himself scores from.

Kilgallon is already closing down Trundle, who’s not even preparing to shoot at the point when Monty gets involved. That is twice in a few weeks that we concede after Monty gets involved in situations he shouldn’t.

2-1: Our move breaks down and Ashley Williams runs with the ball down our right. Cotterill backtracks, but Williams finds Dyer who rolls it back to Butler who smashes it in from 25 yards.

What the hell happened to Walker? Was he injured? As Williams starts his run Walker’s in a perfect position to cut him off, but only watches as Williams runs past him, relying on Cotterill to catch up with him. Are we so man marking obsessed that Walker thinks he doesn’t have to cover his zone if it’s not the opposition left winger that makes the run?

Butler’s shot is pretty well struck, but Bunn will be disappointed to have let another low long range effort go past him.

Thanks again Bergen. Agree with your sentiments.

Monty is well and truly to blame for the 1st goal. Although Trundle is on his left foot there is little danger as he is running parallel to the goal and has Morgan and Killa infront of him. As you say, Killa is stepping forward to make a challenege (or sheppard him further away from goal) and Monty makes a needless and clumsy challenge. I am not a Monty knocker, but that was a bad mistake. From a seemingly not dangerous situation they are suddenly 1-0 up.

The 2nd goal is pathetic. The whole United team are pedestrian. We are drawing 1-1 against a poor team who have been reduced to 10 men and every Blade (bar Cotterill) is walking. When the winger picks the ball up there are 3 Blades palyers stood in a triangle and as you say Bergen if Walker goes to ball then it's effectively move over. Even when the ball is laid off there are 2 midfielders who can make a block. For me Monty and Harper should have been throwing themselves infront of the ball. However, in their defense they probably though 'it'll take something special to beat Bunn from here'. It was nothing special. You use the word 'smashes' Bergen, but I think that is kind. It was a pea roller and should have been a routine save. Better closing done by Walker and Harper/Monty would have stopped any shot taking place, but ultimately the blame lies with Bunn. To say he would be disapponted not saving that is a big under statement.

Rather worryingly that's 2 soft goals Bunn has let in as many games. The effort against Wednesday he should have saved also.

So we've dropped 6 points in 2 seemingly straight forward away fixtures due to poor defending and silly, silly mistakes. Frustratingly we could be up there with the relegated teams had we not given away soft goals.

Is it me or does it look like a soft penalty?
After replaying it a few times Monty hardly seems to catch him.
I feel we were a little unlucky on that one

have to agree with ollesondro not sure what moingy is trying to do there and he has basically gifted them a goal

Stone wall penalty for me i'm afraid kop. Monty and the rest of the Blades players barely even appeal against it. Even Blackwell admitted in the Radio Shef interview that it was a penalty.
