The problem we are in has an added dynamic.

Since we didn't recruit and we offloaded 3 1st teamers, we have, what, 3 weeks left before the deadline closes?

Everyone but the club knows we need 2 CB's and a solid midfielder, and height.

But where are they at this stage? Is there quality at there to buy? Nope.

Are there players on the fringes of EPL teams we can bring in on loan? Maybe.

So, we are all clamouring for quaity additions but where on earth are they and at this stage will they turn this gap filled starting 11 into a promotion chasing team?

I seriously have my doubts that we can bring in quality players at this late stage of the transfer window and with the season just starting, other teams may want to wait before agreeing any loan.

And, just my opinion, the AI driven recruitment foundation is absolutely rediculous, it will never work.

The AI driven recruitment was responsible for Caceres, Nwachukwu, Ukaki and Polendakov. Cheap signings identified with future potential to be coached and developed.

The signings of Bindon, Barry and Soumaré had nothing to do with AI. If they are AI signings then do you not think it's a bit odd that we've asked AI to scour data from leagues across the world and it came up with two players who Selles has previously worked with?

He said in pre-season that AI will not be driving all of the recruitment and that he gets the final say on recruitment for the first team.
