Go on I'll say it

With Wilder in charge, owt is possible. Even a playoff final win !

If we managed a win at Wembley playing great football with Wilder in charge
He's instantly become 1 of our greatest EVER managers.

It is amazing but with Wilder anything is possible, he seems to have this Midas touch.

There's no need to say anything though is there?

Nobody knows where we'll finish this season, it's unpredictable and it's exciting.

The last thing we need to be doing is expecting a top 6 finish on the basis of the first 6 games. Anything beyond consolidation this season is a bonus. A lack of pressure and expectation should be an advantage of ours.

Fuck talking about promotion for now. We're showing we should be comfortable at this level, let's just be happy with that.

It's unpredictable and exciting but let's not talk about it, aye makes sense

Are we really promotion/play off contenders this season? Personally don't see why not.

If you look at results thus far they look outrageously unpredictable. Derby beat Hull 5-0, we beat Derby 3-0, Barnsley beat Sunderland 3-0 after losing to us. I think Wilder's approach and the team spirit gives us a consistency that some other teams lack. Players help, but you only need to look at other clubs in this league to see how many managers are doing an awful job at maximising the potential of their squad. I think we could sneak a playoff spot. But injuries to Coutts or Fleck could be very damaging.

To be fair, we were declaring ourselves playoff contenders in October of last year... look what happened then!

I'm not ruling anything out with Wilder in charge. Just don't see why we need to raise the expectation level, although I know it can be tempting to speculate sometimes.

Just joking, I know as Blades we have to remain glass half empty at all times. The football gods are always listening :(

My first instinct on the final whistle was to check the table - and smile at the 8 point gap to 22nd. Great start but if you offered me a nice, secure 10-12th placed finish right now, I'd accept it. If we're still in and around Play Offs at Christmas, it'll be interesting to see the board's approach to January though.

Anything is possible if we keep playing as we are doing.

But it's September for fucks sake. One game at a time and let's see how we go.

This division is mental. A Derby side came to Bramall Lane looking like a team of strangers, and they dicked a decent Hull team last night.

There's a real possibility that we could go to Bolton on Tuesday and get annihilated, even though they're shit.

Let's just make sure people keep underestimating us :D

We should shout it from the rooftops how good we are and how we're going to get promoted, whilst continuing to lambast the Pigs for getting carried away too easily and being full of themselves ;)

It's too early, 2 or 3 defeats on the trot and things will look a lot different. Not got enough depth in the squad, but see where we are in January, see how ambitious the board are, and who knows. Just enjoy the ride

Long grueling season ahead and there are clubs with strong squads in the Championship.
Too early to say we are contenders for promotion but we have earned the right not to be ruled out.:):)

I'm confident, but let's not that sway our objectives too much. I don't want people to start making stupid comments when we lose 3 in a row or something.

I said at the start of the season we'd be mid table, but I would not be surprised if we challenged for the play-off spots. Some laughed at me (Blades) and that might still be the case, but I would never write off this Blades side to achieve anything.

Look at the table after 10 games. Its usually a pretty good indication of how the pack will form coming up the final stretch.
Currently the top 10, with the expectation of Ipswich, Drama Queens Park, and Brizzle look set. Throw in Fulham, Villa (maybe) and someone else then you might have the top 10, but still far too early to call.
