Go on I'll say it

If we can float around the playoffs until Christmas, and then see what we need, get a couple in, we can push for it. Why not? Use the momentum and push through.

Injuries are going to be the real problem I think rather than any one team.

Early days though, but getting a good run going can't hurt.

Maybe.
I'll be honest, I thought we were a few quality players light. But fabulous result today.

Last year was outstanding, this year could be a fairy tale given our level of spending. I'm so unbelievably happy tonight.

Starting to believe that anything is possible under CW.

Keep up or stay near to 2 ppg and strengthen in January then yes

Are we really promotion/play off contenders this season? Personally don't see why not.

Yes we fucking are. Are we arrogant about it? No.

It's a possibility with form. But away form needs to be better. And home form sustained.

Realistically this is 'we're safe form push on and we will waste a ton at Wembley and lose form (play offs)

Far too early but currently wouldn't bet against us.

Injuries really could be our downfall. And suspensions

Suspensions will be an issue, our disciplinary record last year was exceptional, just one suspension all season for Basham.

This was mainly due to us having almost universal possession of the ball and not having to do much in the way of ball winning.

It's a bit different this season, we are having to dig in and fight a bit more which inevitably leads to more bookings. I believe Coutts is already only a couple of cards away from a ban.

Why not?

Defensively - solid.
Midfield - purring
Up top - options, goals
Brooks - that extra bit of magic

No guarantees whatsoever. But we're on a proper roll.

Who knows were we could end up? - could be 4th/5th, could be 16th/17th.

It's a hell of a tight league, but we all know now that we belong in it & that we needn't have any inferiority complex about being in the heady heights of La Liga.

La aventura continua.

Why are we talking about this so early in the season?

Positions will change, dark horses will emerge, and supposed 'favourites' will slump as outsiders take a grip, or something like that.....

Of course I want the Blades to be as successful as all of us do, so naturally the Premiership is our goal and then we need to show we deserve to stay there. Under Wilder our progress has been fantastic, a lot can happen to change things, injuries, suspensions, personnel will come and go, and all the while the club remains with whoever owns it and whoever manages it. I hope to see Chris Wilder and Alan Knill steer this club to the top flight, and during this journey we'll see the squad strengthen and improve. Just look at this time last season, quite a few players have left to be replaced by players who make this current squad look far stronger. We're managing to attract loan players from the likes of Chelsea and Spurs, and that was unthinkable last season. So of course we're capable of progressing and gaining promotion. Whether it's this season I personally doubt, and that's not a negative for me. We'll strengthen again, and then maybe next season we'll be equipped to make that challenge for the Premiership.

It's not sacrilege to want this club to do well whilst ensuring we're in a position to make an effective challenge. Whatever happens I'm behind the team as always!

Up The Mighty Blades!!!
