On todays performance our best player by a country mile. Clearly he hasn't got the legs any more but still looks like he ought to be the first name on the teamsheet.

He was the shining light in an otherwise pitiful team performance. How the hell have half of these players made it as professional footballers - they couldn't even do the basics right ie. control and short passes  i think I can honestly say I've seen sunday league players with more skill than what was shown today.

We got out of jail, if they had a decent striker they'd have been out of sight by half time.

Would it be worth giving him a go in a Cantona role alongside Camara? Free of the defensive duties required by the widemen, could he have offered us more than the traditional target man?

I also thought he looked miles more skilful than the rest vs QPR.

Could be on to something there Bergen, he hasn't got the pace for out wide but he's got more guile than the rest of our squad put together.

To be honest I'd play him pretty much anywhere as long as he was on the pitch, he'd prob do a better job than most of the others out there!

I thought he was excellent when he was on the pitch yesterday, and a rarity in being a player who could take the ball down easily, and pick and play a decent pass.

Good job SOD did the decent thing with our Billy.

Agree he's got the guile but I think he's only got 20 mins in his legs at most which probably accounts for his non appearances?

Shame.

Listening to his interview he has been desperate to play all season. Wouldn't it make more sense to start him and bring fresh fast players on when he tires ?

>Cantona role alongside Camara
great idea.. he's only got 20 minutes in his legs if he has to track back all the time .. blackwell is obsessed with tracking back .. that is why we only ever have hendo up front (he must have diplomatic immunity or something).. kaka wouldn't get in our team because blackwell would complain he didn't make enough tackles.. players have different strengths and you have to blend them.. blackwell is only interested in people who can run around a lot and put in a good physical shift.

He's 34, not 38! You'd have though he be able to play the occasional 70+ minutes, given that he's been at the club all season.

He looks a class apart every time he comes though, ever since the Port Vale game in fact.

Little has got something we need, the calmness and experience to get the ball and use it, not sure if he fits in with the rest of our team.

He would probably fit in better at Donny.

But what about Yeates, another winger about to sit in the stands until sold

I think Yeates struggles with his own self discipline, seems to wander around a bit. At Donny it was 18 mins into the game before he had the ball on the right wing; his previous possessions were centre/right midfield.
