Love a knee jerk reaction, after that diabolical Southend game I felt like venting my spleen. but I said to myself got to give him ten games like we did weir, and thank God we did.

The pity is that we didn't give David longer. He would have Made United Great Again.....

This slipping in a players name is very childish..stop it please
anyway,I'm off shopping down the Moore

I'm glad Alan Knill gets a mention there. The most fruitful managerial spells are usually the product of a good partnership. I hope Knills contribution doesn't go unnoticed. He's a very nice bloke as well.

Christ, why don't you just marry him? TD + AK 4EVA IDDST.

I'm a Free man. I have a Wright (Jr.) to express myself.
Give over otherwise I'll Bash you ya twat, or I'll use something Sharp and do some real damage, all this leading to your funeral with Duffy being the first song on whilst Reed and Long are walking into it to say their goodbyes' to you. :)

Its all gone quiet over there.
Too right I have gone quiet nothing much to complain about have we at the moment? After four games Wilder was a man under intense pressure and was looking ill and faltering in the media interviews but fair play to him he has steadied the ship and has turned it round to the point where we seem to be better every game. Still a lot to do mind and I think my point in the post you quoted is still valid he has had very little help from those in the boardroom he has had to wheel and deal to get players in as we have seen nothing come from McCabe or the absent Prince. I think even Barney is struggling to find things to complain about which in itself a refreshing change UTB.

I see smug mode is fully switched on with some people on this forum who want to dig up old threads. It must feel good to point score over your fellow Blades when at the time we had legitimate concerns. It was one of the worst starts to our season ever and on a par if not worse than Weir's time here.

I think we have all know as Blades fans never to count our chickens early and to keep our powder dry until May. We are in great form BUT we have a transfer window coming up and that is usually an opportunity for the club to shoot itself in the foot.

I hope our good form continues, my only concern at the moment is what the board decide to do next.

Enjoy the ride while it lasts may it be a long one.

Yes, it would be a real shame if the Chairman stopped subsidising losses, year after year, costing him millions, whilst the S2 intelligentsia continually make snide remarks about freeholds and sofas in Brussels, wouldn't it?....

I thought we had two owners Kevin erm I mean Pinchy? Mind you we have not seen the Prince much lately.

It is not the fans that sell off or let go of our better players every transfer window.

It's not the fans who enable the club to pay its way.

Some of you have no comprehension of the financial realities of running a jumble sale, let alone a professional football club.

I understand the financial realities.

All clubs in our division lose money and you have to make up the shortfall to stay afloat. McCabe does this. The one time he tried to make us self supporting was the Weir debacle.

You also need to keep hold of cheap young talent, or some of it, for longer than 10 minutes. McCabe does not do this.

Plus you need to ensure your transfer policy isn't run by morons. Looks like for the first time in a while we are going in the right direction here.

I am very optimistic, but the temptation to sell should be resisted in January, unless it's early and quality is lined up to replace. No more Blackman for Forte on 31 January please.

We do have another owner of the club, McCabe is no longer running the show on his own.

That should help him more than hinder him? That is what we were told anyway.

Do you need to see him sat in the South Stand at every game? Should he be making public statements every five minutes? Giving interviews to The Star? Would that suffice and make you happy?

Just as long as he's still contributing financially is enough for Bert, he doesn't need to see or hear from him.

We will see who we have to sell off in the transfer window.
