I agree that some of his cliche heavy comments are becoming tiresome, but the fact is that all we can hope for tomorrow is to not be embarassed.

"give a good account of ourselves" has absolutely no bearing on his expected result so what's your problem with it?

He's stated elsewhere that we'll try to take the game to anyone and Chelsea are no different.

Would you prefer if he said "I expect us to thrash Chelsea tomorrow"??

If anything its in our interests if he did play down our chances, pressure off the players and the opposition in "easy walkover match" mode.

Somehow I could actually see Warnock saying that about one of "the big four" but probably more of a tongue-in-cheek comment.

How would you play the match tomorrow?, playing 1 up front doesn't neccessarily mean going defensively. In recent times all of the big clubs have done it to much success.

I think Warnock does a good job with the press.

If people can't understand that 50% of the time he's taking the pi$$ out of the hacks it's their problem.

Terry Robinson did it with Brian on Radio Sheffield the other night......when told by Brian that sarcasm was the lowest form of wit Robinson replied....."no it's called a sense of humour"

I'm a manager and you'll never catch me using cliches, Brian. At the end of the day, when the fat lady sings, you are flogging a dead horse with cliches. All things being equal, it's better to take it as it comes and use something original, Brian!

Chelsea have won 2 Premiership titles with that formation and at home I wouldn't say that they have been defensive. The problem seems to be that the wide players aren't supporting Hulse enough for the formation to work to it's best in an attacking sense.
