Wilder best sort it out and quick, cos with the quality of the teams up there with us playing like that against relegation fodder just isn't gonna cut it. So lucky today, could've been 3-1 today at half time.

Last 2 games at home have been bloody horrible. It can't carry on like this.

Fuck me, i bet an hour in the pub with you miserable cunts, feels like a lifetime....

It’s probably the toughest stage of the season.
Teams down the bottom fighting tooth and nail to stay up, mid/teams pushing for play offs/top two and top teams trying to keep up there with everyone gunning for them.

Sort it out we've only been in top two even with a points deduction most the season.

Yeah why worry that the past two games have been against teams at the bottom, one of which was a drubbing and the other could have been the same if not for thier awful finishing.

We have been abysmal with zero idea or anything positive other than getting extremely fucking lucky in this game beyond belief.

Why panic or worry until it's too late....

We dropped points v Portsmouth and QPR early in the season where they both were in the relegation zone and it didn't dramatically hurt us.

And our performances have barely improved since. Don't you see the issue in that?

How did Burnley get on recently against portsmouth????

Not massively no. Would I like to see us destroy sides playing it Round them? Yes. But I recall the Hecky promotion and all season long I wanted us to take a side to task and really other than that second half against Burnley game we rarely did even with Ndiaye who was levels above anything we have now.

I'm sure they didn't play as badly as we played. At their place as well.

Don't sit here and try to tell me they're 'fighting for their lives' or they were good 😂😂

Destroying sides is one thing. Scoring 3 goals more than once a season would be nice.

Burnley look dull as fuck and their fans are moaning more than us.
Sunderland keep throwing points away and are due a drop off.
And Leeds notoriously bottle it.

Chill out, Chris has got this.

Let’s just get behind them for the next game. Matches are coming thick and fast and they need our support.

Hopefully Wilder will make a few needed changes as the balance just wasn’t right today and Bereton Diaz didn’t look fit.

Great to clap the boys off at the end though. They certainly battled in the second half to get those 3 points. Who’d have thought we would be relying on Rak Sayki and Brewster to combine to get the winner.

Sydie Peck is becoming my hero.

Does what other sides are doing make us need to be shit?

Today, like against Swansea, but more so today, we should have been dead and buried at HT.

I’ll refrain from being too doubtful and see how we turn out against Boro, Luton & Leeds.

Whether the ‘best transfer window ever’ actually wasn’t, or is it that all the new players shouldn’t be chucked in straight away, I’m not too sure. Either way, I’m definitely not seeing a stronger team yet !

No, but it puts things into perspective. Every team has lost to someone they expected to steamroll this season.

They were good, can't believe anyone would deny it. Quality deliveries, a brilliant press, just couldn't finish.

That doesn't make me feel any differently about our crap performance, but it's blatantly true.

Currently have play off defeat written all over us. And probably in the semis
15 games to go. Here's the record for the last 15 where I think we can all agree for a spell we were down to the bare bones.

"If we think that is going to be the standard performance we're going to get hurt and we aren't going to achieve anything."

Didn't agree with everything Wilder said post-match but I do agree with that. But maybe he should stop moaning because we're 2nd.

Spot on.

Surely our performances simply need to be better than those of the opposition. Today we were awful but still won because we have some quality that others don’t.
It may not be enough eventually but so far it has been.

Saving grace is Burnley through to next round of fa cup which may prove a hopeful distraction and games mounting up.

O.P has a good point about the quality of teams around us when we're trying to get into the top 2, but I don't think Sunderland and Burnley are quite as efficient points and results wise, even if they are playing better than us.

Sunderland and Burnley (especially in the last few weeks), have been drawing far too many games, especially when both us and Leeds keep picking up wins while occasionally dropping points.

Bearing in mind the last time we dropped points (Hull), Sunderland drew with Plymouth and neither Burnley or Leeds could capitalise and beat each other.

Just my opinion but to me it's becoming apparent that we can turn draws/losses into wins while Burnley and Sunderland can't, which at the moment, is giving us the edge over both of them, even if it is covering up the poor performances.
