Get rid of Wilder

This must be the reason so many fans with zero understanding of professional football claim our manager is tactically inept.

They cry about something like substitutions, have the completely logical reasons why they were made explained to them, but they ignore it and continue to make a fool of themselves. Some are trolls/pigs, but some are just so wounded by his previous departure that they are primed to hate everything he does.

Whatever he does now, however successful he is, we'll never have a proper atmosphere and feel good factor at the club until he's gone. These fans will never come around, clearly.
I warned this would happen before he came back. It didn’t need a crystal ball to see it.

There's not a manager on this planet that we could realistically get that would do a better job than Wilder in my view. Look at how the teams promoted have done in the PL of late including Leicester who had ten seasons or so in the top flight and won the championship at a canter and are still dog turd with no chance of staying up.

He makes mistakes like anyone but we're second in the league and quite frankly Leeds should be miles clear as should Burnley when you look how much their squads cost.

Sean Dyche would be a decent appointment for example if we sacked Wilder next season but it would mean very defensive football which Everton fans despised and a lot say Wilder is too defensive!

Some of the views on here are laughable in my view I might add. Championship manager stuff.

Not sure why you've directed this at me.

I'm annoyed by him, but I also said that the jury's still out for me, so if he's successful, I'm willing to forgive.

I think that's a perfectly reasonable stance.

Of course I cheer the team on at games, but it hasn't been very exciting this season has it? Perhaps if we played more exciting football then the atmosphere would be better

He’s absolutely diabolical, I’m sick of us having an attritional manager, he’s scared of his own piss, if Hamer was fit enough for the bench start him, if Holden is fit playe him and drop bomb scare Robbo,; I just wish we could wipe the slate clean, but the new owners have decided to give Wilder another massive pay day… very prematurely. a decent manager with this team would not have lost that match… he doesn’t know what system suits the players or what players suits the system.. he’s a joke and if the owners are serious about this club they need to get rid, or They’re gonna lose hundreds of millions and if they don’t have that we’re gonna fine ourselves in admin…
Was just about to give it a like then read the last two or three lines..

Given the rest of your comment I didn't want to suggest it of you, which is why I said "these fans".

It's been as exciting as any other promotion campaign, but with shitter atmospheres. We've won loads of games, scored last minute winners, played some great football.

Football fans have it shit 90% of the time, and our lot are complaining about this season?!?! It genuinely blows my mind, just like the Leicester fans last season moaning at Maresca for playing 'boring' football while they were miles clear at the top.

I didn't think it'd be possible if he did really well, but here we are. Very depressing.
Yep unfortunately you’re right. What happens on the field regarding results or even more amazingly promotion, some don’t care one little bit, it’s personal with them and want him gone regardless of how well he does for the club.

his baffling reluctance to play Holding

In October 2024, manager Oliver Glasner stated that Holding had been frozen out of the squad and was training individually following a disagreement between the pair.

On 3 February 2025, Holding was signed by EFL Championship club Sheffield United on a loan until the end of the season. He departed having featured once for Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup in one and a half years, and having made zero appearances in the Premier League.

How fit or match fit do you think he might be after 3 weeks with us ?

It’s the same posters who were saying we’d struggle this season, mid table, bottom half or even have a relegation fight on our hands.
I personally don’t mind em,just makes me glad that I’m not one of em.
Wilder could fart the greasy chip butty in morse code over the tannoy and not so much as a smirk would cross their miserable chops.
The reality is some people on here like to see our players and manager fail so they can come on here and say ‘I told you so’.

I’m disappointed we didn’t win cause we don’t get to see our team manager / role model rolling standing on a table pi55ed out of his head singing derogatory songs about the oppositions manager. Or the one of him pi55ed nearly falling off the open top bus.

My 7 year old grandson still loves that clip

The new owners used AI to find future playing prospects, I wander if they will use it to look at a future manager? Is there a manager out there, unknown but punching way above his weight? Sounds crazy, but.......
If it gets us away from our search consisting of are they an
Ex Player
Ex Coach
or Supporter

Then I'm all for it.

I don’t think any Blade would want that.
I'm not Wilders biggest fan, but I would never want us too lose just so I could come on here and have a go at him.

I’m not calling them blades but there’s a few on here who you only ever see when we’ve either lost or Brewsters had a bad game.

I don’t call them fans, because you’re right no true fan would want that of their club but they are members on here.

I'm more confident we'll at the very least take the chase for automatic promotion to the very end now than I was before yesterday's game.

My only concern is how much more balanced the team looked bith defending and attacking without Hamer. It really freed Burrows up and the whole thing jyst seemed more complimentary all over the pitch. I say this as ine if Hamer's biggest supporters as well

He's not above criticism, far from it. There are things I think he needs to improve ASAP. But calling for the manager's head when you're second in the table is just daft. Last night wasn't even one of our ten worst performances of the season.

Can’t be arsed to think carefully about it, so I’ll pull a number out of the air and suggest you could at least double that, and say it wasn’t even one of our twenty worst.

Leeds ended the first half strongly, but, apart from struggling when they got at us down our right side I thought we had one of our best 45 mins of the season before HT, in context of who we were playing and the ramifications of the match. It was also a great watch as a contest.

Hugely disappointing to lose it the way we did, like.

The thread is embarrassing-

2nd in the League - 3 points behind leaders.

For first 25 last night - United were truly fantastic - Leeds were lucky not to get blown away. Yes we ran out of puff, yes Leeds deserved their win, but FFS

'Get rid of Wilder' this has to be started by

1- someone less than age 14
2- someone having a lot to drink
3- someone that is thick
4- some one that is not a Blade

Lots of teams have entitled fans - but I can't think many teams fans would be spouting this crap with your team placed second.

And easily identifiable, because they are straight on here the moment we lose, spouting the same predictable rubbish.
It's best to wait for a day after defeat before coming on here, until the tide flushes away some of the floating turds.

Really?
You need to stay off substances if you really believe that bs.
I believe hes piss quoting Wilder
JLT's throws helped tonight because their keeper is their weakest link. Would like to have seen us pepper him even more with shots and crosses though.

It seemed clear from Hamer's contribution when he came on that he wasn't 100% but at that stage of that game it was worth a try to see if he could help us over the line.

As for Wilder, he's building something here he needs more time and space to do that.

Leeds are better equipped this season because Farke was allowed to do that.
Farke has modelled a team on technical ability athleticism and used the overseas market
We are modelling our team on Basset and a 90s bulldog spirit

Didn't do much wrong tonight but since he's come into the team it's no surprise we've got worse defensively
Looking from my seat in the South Stand G Block, I thought he’d fouled their player after he’d been turned inside out and the ref was going to give a penalty.

Other than that he was ok but as stated, the defence has struggled since Souttar got injured. Signing a centre back not ready, or trusted, for first team football wasn’t a great decision from the management team.
