Elsewhere acknowledging Paul Coutts' upturn in performance, after being a huge critic - I'll offer the same up for George Long.

Though I'm yet to be convinced he's ironed out those weaknesses, "a good shot stopper" is easily trotted out. But there's good ones, and GOOD ones - and he's proving exceptional of late in that department.

Keep it up George.

His positioning and certainly his distribution are better than Howards by a country mile. Keeping him out of the number 1 slot for so long was a mistake.

You have been a harsh critic Alco as you acknowledge so hats off from me for noting his upturn in form and long (see what I did there) may it continue. He will inevitably make a mistake that costs us so lets hope he has built up enough goodwill with the fans and confidence within himself to carry him through.

He's not flapped at any corners in the last few games and made three or four good saves.

I'm not a fan of him as I've made clear but he's not cost us any goals in the last five (apart from the fumble he got away with against Coventry) he has shown improvement, helped also by the return of Brayford and return to form of Edgar which has tightened us up all across the back line

Long may he reign!
Well done lad!

Since his first day wobbles he's been clearly our best keeper. 22 is still no age at all and he should only improve. Pleased for him.
