Saw something that said panathanikos have paid his contract to his partner on the 1st of January and they are playing a friendly this year with procedes going to his son
Nice gesture. They could arrange home & away friendlies against us as a warm-up for next season?

This reminds me of Vladimir Konstantinov's Detroit Red Wings locker at the Joe Louis Arena.

It served as motivation for the team and they defended the Stanley Cup largely due to it.

it's probably been raised before but should we retire the number ''2'' shirt as a mark of respect for George?

That pic of George’s shirt made me quite emotional. It’s easy to forget how much of an impact his tragic passing might have had on the group, including Wilder. George would’ve loved a result like today, hopefully he’s looking down with a smile tonight

No mate... not for me... it should be kept.. and everytime the number two shirt is taken off the peg before a match there should be another one underneath it with Baldock on it, to give whoever is wearing it a reminder of what it means to wear that number 2 shirt..

Bastard tear in my eye writing that

I don’t know if it would be allowed but I’d have ‘George Baldock’ under the badge on the number two shirt. Dignified, not garish and the player who puts the shirt on the would know how much it meant to George.

Not a fan of retiring shirts despite the obvious respectful gesture behind it.

It should be an honour to wear a club's legendary number based on those who've worn it in the past. Agree with what Billy said about the number 10 after he left.

I do love seeing us have the Baldock shirt up in the dressing room though ❤️

Not seen this elsewhere. Pig fan given banning order for mocking George. Claims he was responding to being pelted with coins, a bottle and being spat on!

Lying cunt

Must have prepared the message and picture in advance then just in case he got spat at or coins thrown at him.

Was also seen chanting about George going through the turnstiles.

Wanker

Just unfortunate the article also says he’s found other employment so someone’s been daft enough to hire him. Was seen on linked in using a different surname

To be fair I was in BL upper and saw some of our fans spitting onto the fans below after full time
Well, I didn't. I took my little one to the front as we walked out. I even gave her permission to stick two fingers up over the tier.. which she declined (the little goody-goody)

100% happened... Type blades fans spitting into twitter and it brings the video up, disgusting behaviour

Oh yeah, only one bloke though.
I dont condone it, but singing about shagging managers kids and mocking players deaths is always going to bring out the worst in some people.

Greece & Panathanaikos shirts!! My daughter thinks I'm a cool dad.
We intend to visit Panathonaikos ground this year.

Back to George for a mo. The last I read was that toxicology tests might have taken some months. Any further news insomuch did the poor lad have an undiagnosed heart defect/condition?

I really liked George, because he left it all out there on the pitch. You know when we were playing shit he still gave it his all and to me as a fan of some 60 odd years that is something I want to see in every United player. Sadly we dont get much of it these days. Apart from Panathonaikos, might be nice to play MK Dons too.

Still can't believe he is gone that lad epitomised what it meant to be a Blade he left it all out there on the pitch

Give me a GB over any of these overpaid prima Donna's that cost 50-60m anyday.

He just got our club and was loved by our fans 🥹❤️

Always in our hearts Starman once a Blade always a Blade ⚔️🔴⚪⚫
