My phone goes off and it's a notification from Blades Ramble on YouTube saying "George Baldock passes away age 31", I thought I was seeing things.

Obviously if the game still goes ahead there will be tributes to Baldock at Wembley tomorrow. I doubt it will even if he wasn't in the squad due to injury many of those players will be as shocked as we are.

Fuck me, this has hit me hard. Much of my core memories watching Sheffield United involve George Baldock running down the wing. He was a brilliant footballer, and though I've never met him, he sounded like an amazing bloke. Rest in peace to him, and my heart is with his family. 31 is way too young.
