During his post match interview he stated that the primary reason for the failure this season was the center back situation so i think that it is safe to assume he was aware that the problem existed. Unfortunately the interviewer did not press at to why Clough did not address it either via the loan market or in January, i would be interested to know the reasons.

Did he - or did he just put the blame last night on Brayford's injury and it's term the reason for bringing in another.
From what I heard 10 mins ago on RS sports report.

ps Bring back cricket! :)

Maguire -sold
Butler-turned out shit
Collins-problem we don't know about
Kennedy -injured
magahey-didn't live up to expectations
Macarthy - wasn't very good.

6 specialist centre backs should have been enough ,but for various reasons didn't work out ,just unlucky they are all from the same position ,whereas JCR for example could easily be replaced.
Beard ,Alcock and Basham have all played there before for previous teams so it made sense to play them until we get the centre halves we actually want and need instead of the mistakes made on the aforementioned. Im sure Clough will put everything into getting these 2 positions sorted as priority next season as the rest of the team isn't far off. We will do well next season as once we are strong we can then express ourselves as an attacking team more and Clough will take on board the fans reaction towards the end of the season and know he has to.

Boo , everyone on here makes observations were Clough has got it totally wrong this year which IMO has cost us promotion. The posts are usually 100% correct , but we all come from different angles and all see a game not the same way , but the basic problems are there for all to see .Clough if he stays , (and it looks like he will ) , has to build a strong spine within the team . Thats just basic football , whether you are running a pub , non league or a professional team. Yes we are as many say work in progress , but there is still a lot of work to do.

Stability in management , yes , but more important stability on the playing front. Like they say ,the buck stops here , in this case Clough.

So posts against Clough are usually 100% correct? If I contradict a post against Clough, I am either contradicting the posts that are not in the "usually100% correct", therefore I am 100% correct! or if Iam against a post that is in your 100% I am talking rubbish. Please tell me who is making that judgement and from where?

FFS.
This is probably the most annoying thread I have ever have the misfortune to read.

'To lose one parent is unfortunate.
To lose two sounds like carelessness'

SIX - FFS

Butler Maguire ruled out PRE season.
Kennedy injured for the last FOUR seasons.
etc.
ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Boo , i don't think you are talking rubbish at all . Clough has us all divided as much as a general election.

The way i look at it , although i am pro Clough for no other reason , than that i am old enough to be pissed off , with us continually sacking managers for the right or wrong reasons , on a regular basis.

Nobody is right or wrong with the Clough scenario . All i am bothered about is the board get this one right .

Couldn't care less if fans think Clough is a hero or a wanker . I want him to deliver a successful football club with promotion. Whatever his remit is / was , in most fans eyes , he has failed.

The board are the people who ultimately have the final say , but the board will have to listen and take on board the fans reaction , which to me is divided.

All Clough comments on here are 100% correct from the poster , we either agree or disagree with there stance on the matter. All fans have there opinions .

Clough has fucked this season up not us.

Absolutely.

He's been in charge for for only 1 full season. He saved us from relegation last year and we nearly made the play-off's.
We did make the play-off's this year.
We scored 5 goals in an away leg, and we're beaten by the ref in the home leg.
He's not perfect and has made lots of mistakes, but he should be given at least another season.
You are being too kind, overlooking all the incompetence...
