its clearly meant to meen fill my senses again.
thrill sounds like something belonging in a steelers chant !
I'm not sure we're debating the first fill, nobody is wanting their senses thrilling up. I just think saying it starts with fill so it should end with fill isn't the best reasoning.
Come fill me again, how does that sound right in any context?

It originated in Woodhouse. The blokes drinking in the Junction, and the Stag.
It's Magnet and "fill". End of.
:p

I've got a t shirt at home with the lyrics on from the Sunday pig roast in div 1... Can't think if its thrill or fill.

But it's defo maggots. I win

Since "thrill" at the end would be the first reference to "thrilling" why bother with the "again".... that's what doesn't make sense in any context.

"Come fill me again" makes perfect sense as a request to repeat the original filling of the senses via the Beer, Woodbines, chips, etc... It's why Mr Deutschendorf wrote it like that in the first place. What's not to understand about that?

The again part is surely referring to the frequency of said thrilling.... Like every Saturday or summat.

Having lived in Bristol since I was 8 ive never had a pint of magnet. Does it still exist?

I sing Magners, we drinks lots of that stuff round ere (puts on tin hat)

As in they thrilled you last Saturday with one upfront, please do it again this weekend too.
I might not use the term "thrilled" much but if anyone ever asked me how I felt about united's win I doubt I'd ever say filled either.

If that was his motivational effort I dread to think how players feel after his pre match and half time talks. Hope Morg's and Gardener hid all sharp objects away from players reach

I know we're not really in the "benefit of the doubt" and "seeing the positives" frame of mind after another frustrating season, but if nothing else, it's good to see the club trying and having more of a go in creating media and content outside of their comfort zone.

I suggested something similar (not propaganda/marketing videos ;)) a number of years ago to previous employees of the club and do think there's so much more that could be done given the unreserved access they have to the management/playing staff and facilities... good to see them having a bash at it.

Yes it does I think. Though in whatever incarnation of it John Smiths (Heineken) is currently concocting (most likely in Tadcaster).

Couldn't tell you if it's still the same, haven't had a pint of it in about a decade now. Nor have I seen it since I last went in Farm Road.

According to this, Heineken UK stopped brewing it in 2010. Such a shame, I remember spending many Thursday evenings getting shitfaced on it in the Norfolk Arms on the corner of Leadmill Road before going to the 'Beat Club' night in the Leadmill - happy days.

.....but why would they fight forever more when they won on Boxing Day?

Indeed. And how the fuck can we be 'By far the greatest team, the world has ever seen..' when Real Madrid won the European Cup 5 times in a row in the 50's and Ajax and Bayern Munich won it 3 times each in a row in the 1970's? These writers of football chants really ought to do their research before unleashing such masterpieces on an unsuspecting and gullible public.
