Does anyone know a website to view previous seasons gate receipts?

Arguin with a pig who's only argument is that they have had more gate receipts than us over previous years.

I've found official attendences and we have had more people sit inside BDTBL than swillsbro every season for about 7year barring their league 1 debut.

His argument now is that. Everybody pays at hillsbro and that nobody goes in on free kids tickets.

I hate pigs:mad:

That has to be the lamest pig excuse ever! They get crap attendances regardless of cheap tickets or not.

I'd ask him to prove himself to be right rather than you wasting your time.

The accounts should tell you the annual gate income (but it could be the full match day - programs, pies etc)

If you look on PorkTalk there are accounts of Pigs fans wandering the wilds of north west Sheffield prior to the game on Saturday trying to get rid of freebies theyd been given.

i remember last years accounts (for the season before ) showed the pigs as haing slightly higher "gate receipts" than us but only by about a hundred grand or so

the intersting thing was theres were matchday income and ours were just
gate receipts

that is the only time i can remember and i think this years accounts show ours as being higher

We've had bigger attendances for the last full 3 seasons only.
This season will also see us have a higher average attendance.

I'd imagine they would have a higher matchday revenue from ticket sales - due to higher ticket prices and a bigger 'walk up'.
They would earn less off season tickets I'd imagine because the numbers which we sell are much greater than theirs.
Revenue from match day sales of concessions/programmes etc should be in our favour.

The difference between the 3 in my opinion will be negligble.

As Robbie says, that's not right. United have only averaged more from 2006-7 onwards. Before that the last time we had a higher average was 1978-9.

That's surprising I thought 2005/2006 would have seen us have more, but I suppose it was Wednesday's first season out of Div 3 for a few years so that could have created a 'bounce'.

2008

Sheff Wed total turnover 12.32 million
Gate receipts and associated turnover 6.83 million

Sheff Utd total turnover 32.1 million
Match receipts "only" 6.1 million.

"associated turnover" leaves lots of room for manoeuvre on this one.

I think last season's numbers will be much more in our favour, as Wendy started heavily discounting then to prop up the paltry support being threatened after the 14,000 V QPR.

UTB

Our 2009 figures show Gate Receipts of 6.879 million on turnover of 30.991 million for the UK Club (0.079 miilion on turnover of 1.070 million for China).
