Fuck me the players were fucked in the 2nd half. Sitting back and chasing the ball totally for the 2nd half was ridiculous, why didn't we keep the foot down? Defended so deep and gave them the opportunity, don't get it. We far superior then ??????????????

We are far better with the ball than chasing it, so why chase it?

We simply weren't good enough today.

It was a pretty boring game of football to be honest. Derby had two chances and scored two goals, we had one chance and scored one goal.

The substitutions by Wilder didn't make any sense to me. The Derby players must have been so relieved to see our best goalscorer and most creative midfielder going off.

All in all, we were shit and Derby fully deserved the three points.

I thought Fleck and Norwood both tired badly. As soon as we lost the midfield battle the strikers came back to help and we were penned in.

So Hendo didn't make 2 great saves and Carson didn't save from McGoldrick and one of their players didn't clear it off the line after Carson had dropped the cross.
As for it being a boring game you must have been watching a different game to me. in fact Rosenior and Prutton described it as the best championship game they had seen all season. A lot of silly things are written when raw from a defeat.

Yes agree Fleck and Norwood looked shattered 2nd half and just dropped deeper, as soon as Duffy went off we had no creativity or pace in midfield
Saying that we are never going to win every game in this division, far to many decent sides

I was in the ground and I was bored.

It wasn't a good game of football to watch in my opinion. The majority of possession was contained to sort sideways and backward passes in the central third of the pitch.

Maybe I was too pissed to enjoy it.

The problem with bringing Coutts on is that he's the deep lying midfielder but the other two were shattered and dropping back.

We need much better attacking options on the bench.

Freeman was the stand out fucked player, Don Goodman kept saying it. He was running on fumes and their threat was all on his side.

Over 90 minutes I thought we deserved a point but its football could have drawn could have won but we move on, first half we looked like a team leading the division ,, quality with the ball, lets not beat ourselves up to much.

There’s no way that second half was only due to tiring.
First half was outstanding in my opinion.

Granted some were knackered but we’ve tactically decided to come out second half and sit off them, don’t understand why.

Not sure what happened but we had so much possession in the 1st half so there is no way we should have been tired at the start of the 2nd half. Plenty of whippersnappers in that Derby team though so perhaps that told.

The most depressing thing was that fat fuck Huddleston running the 2nd half

Quite a few of the players looked absolutely knackered second half. Freeman, Stevens, Norwood, Fleck, Duffy to name but a few. Freeman especially could hardly walk. If our wing backs are fucked we have no outlet and get penned in. They have to constantly bomb forward and back all game. Never seen them get that knackered before though.

We did play at a really high tempo the first half, but have done this before without such a noticeable effect. For some reason we seem to come back after international breaks completely knackered. They're supposed to be refreshed, not burnt out.

Best post ever.

We have to remember this derby team has a few of the most dominant youth team potentially in youth cup history. Chelsea team has won 6 of last 7 youth cups lost in the final of 1 it didnt. The last time Chelsea failed to make the final was 2010 man utd v sheff utd youth cup final.

We cant afford to drop off as we arent as talented

I'd suggest Meadowhall next.

First half was as good a game if football as you're going to get. If
you were bored, perhaps try the Steelers?

They had pace, something we continue to be missing and Huddlestone is the midfielder we think Coutts is!

I agree. They also varied the length of their passing to maximise this. Huddlestone is a player who for whatever reason has never maximised his abilities. He’s not had a bad career, but he should’ve got 50 England caps and a few medals. He always seems to do a job on us.

Baldock wasnt on bench yesterday. Injured again?

Im guessing having a player who can only play RB on the bench isn't much use, compared to having others who can play in numerous positions...

Woodburn not being there is the big worry for me. He was supposed to be the Duffy understudy / competition. Him not stepping up is going to hurt us more and more as the season goes on!

I wouldn't, I know someone who goes & from what ive heard they are making adkins or weir season in charge of us look like an absolute triumph. they are bottom of the league only won 1 in normal time, lost 7 of their last 8, already sacked a manager & yesterday lost 7-1 after being 4-0 down after 10mins

I watched the game at home and thought it was really entertaining, one of the better Sky games I’ve seen this season.

We played well in the 1st half then Derby stepped up their game in the 2nd half.
Both teams played an attractive fast passing game, it was a good advert for the league.
Was a little concerning that we seemed to lose our shape when Duffy went off.
Overall it was a close game with Derby just about deserving their win.
