Think I’d be minded to play Lavery instead of Hanson for this one. Read their match report from the Bradford game written by a fan (Deadbat style) and apparently their centre halves can’t cope with pace and people running at them but they are 6”4 and 6”5 respectively so not sure Hanson would get much joy. That said, with the giants in their team, we maybe need Hanson to defend set pieces.

No, not very professional but he was a blade giving some banter to a rival club. He's also a guy who has never really been in bother throughout his career, who leads by example on the pitch, who does loads of work in the community from football campls to the LJS foundation, to hospital visits etc.

Contrast that with the absolutely despicable human being that is Gary Madine.

But some posters on here should check their own house is in order too. Billy Sharp is head and shoulders above Gary Madine in most things in life; personality, community work and footballing ability. However, you can't gloss over the fact that Billy Sharp was also wrong to do what he did.

It was a reference to the former player's life in descent. As a player Gascoigne was at times excellent, but as a grown-up he often showed all the maturity of a school playground berk! Loved the player but considered some of his off-pitch 'antics' as being well below what's acceptable. Very similar to George Best in psychological disposition, and once the money dried up there were few people around to wipe up his mess.

Yeah fair enough. But this video from Madine is a drop in the ocean in terms of his antics. If he wasn't otherwise sub-human scum, a video like this would have earned him some stick but it's not exactly reprehensible behaviour. It's the overall package with him. The video is especially cringy because Billy has achieved far more than he ever will.

If a random scunny or Bolton player had said something derogotary about our club, I'm sure they would be unpopular with our fans and it would add some needle to the game but they wouldn't be hated in the same way this oxygen thief is.
