It's the area of the pitch I'm most concerned about, as I think all 5 of those have question marks of varying size in terms of whether they can deliver next season.
Sharp is probably the most reliable, having succeeded before at this level most recently. All being well he should be good for 15 goals – and I wouldn't rule out more if the team as a whole is doing well.
Clarke I expect will start with him, but is getting on a bit and has never hit double figures in something like 12 spells at Championship level. He finished the season excellently, but I don't think we can rely on him.
Evans – had one good Championship season way back in 07/08 with Norwich, had one very poor and one average season at this level with us previously, and while I'd like to be surprised I don't think he's capable of delivering.
Hanson – will likely be useful to help change games from the bench, but can't see him starting many unless injuries necessitate it.
Lavery – probably of all we have is the one that has the potential to still improve the most, but again isn't someone we can rely on.
For me we need one additional player to come in and start that we should be looking to for 15-20 goals. My concern with the signings thus far as that these while strengthening the squad don't significantly improve the first team. I suspect Wilder might like last season add a couple of people for the first team in August – players that might not be available currently.
