I think dressing room unrest is normal, especially after a heavy defeat or a run of defeats, i think Wilder alluded to it and said it was a good thing to let players get things out of their system, too much speculation on here

If he's dead set on playing Gus and COH in the 3 in midfield then Hamza would be absolutely perfect for the 3rd midfielder to just sit and give the back 4 some protection.
Or...Soumaré, who's already in the building and hasn't commanded a salary roughly double that of any other player on the books.

Having spoken with O'Hare. He came across as humble and intelligent. We discussed off the ball movement and link up play. I think Wilder should have kept faith in him at the end of the season. He has a great attitude and he adds a bit of the unexpected with his passing. Campbell and Cooper came across as humble as well.
Doesn't surprise me. I like O'Hare and think he was unlucky to be left out last season just as he was starting to come good.

Possibly and I suppose we'll see when he starts playing but I'm not convinced he'll be the destroyer we need in there based on the YT compilations we've seen.

I hope you're right 👍

What I do know is that Selles was pretty annoyed by the players slack pre-match routine. He was getting into a few of them about nutrition and warm ups in the hotel. There’s some videos floating around on Snapchat / tik tok taken by some of the staff.
Sounds like Selles expects his footballers to be professional and earn the ridiculous wages they get paid, which has come as a bit of a shock to Wilder's Lads. Good. Too many are being allowed to rely on their natural talent and are not willing to put the actual effort in (which explains the fitness issues over the last few years).

It's a new era at Bramall Lane which has been long overdue so we'll have to roll with the punches while Selles gets them all in shape, which I'm quite happy about.

With regard to Selles, he is making a big change to how we play coupled with a lack of quality and cover for a few positions. The combination of both is a risk that we won't really know the full effects of for another few months. Could players be unhappy at that point it’s possible.
Maybe I’m over simplifying it in my own head about the state of play. But, new owners seem happy to sell experience because they are getting pretty much top dollar if reports are correct.
However, they seem reluctant to pay the going rate to backfill the massive holes that have been left across the back line, DM and attack That’s what us limeys call the spine of any team, they’ve also failed to provide the players Sellés needs for a totally new system.
Instead they see themselves as pioneers of technology to identify talent for very little outlay. But they’ve not cottoned on they have to be competitive on the pitch to bring sucess, that basic fact FOOTBALL hasn’t been handled.

A source told me that the split in the dressing room is caused by Ruben's hair. Half the squad think he should accept the inevitable and shave it off, while others think he should grow it out and do the combover thing. Some are saying hair transplant. All got a bit nasty.
That's why Bannan got sent off yesterday, he wanted to play but his fishcake wanted a week off..

Heard one of the players suggested that Ruben speaks to Barry Bannan regarding this issue and all hell broke loose. Hope it’s bollox tbh 🙄😬

Robinson maybe Selles has sussed him out and told him he won't be first choice, which isn't a shock to a lot of people on here who have the same opinion.

Cooper could explain he didn't seem his usual self yesterday.

Peck no way seemed very happy in the inside training video and also playing yesterday.

O'Hare look good yesterday didn't seem like he had a problem.

Anyway I always like a New Member with inside info, when you see Chris thanks but he blow it in the Play off final but good look finding another club.
Telling Robinson he won’t be first choice even when the options available are what they are is a bit of a kick in the nads tho. Can understand Robbo been a little bit pissed off about that tbh lol. Bet it kinda feels like when kids are picking they’re players for a kick about and ur the last kid standing there and the kid whose turn it is to pick says “fuck it, u can have him” to the other team, lol

AI should assist decision making but not replace it. Clough used to say every team needs 3 players. A good goalkeeper and good centre forward to score goals and a good centre back to stop good centre forwards. I think it should be 4. I would add a good central midfielder.

We have Cooper, we had Souttar, We had Souza, we have Campbell. Stats will only tell so much. A midfield General who influences the game. In the first half of last season. Vini Souza was immense. He gave the most dominant display of a midfielder I have seen since I saw Ray Wilkins in 93. Vini just snuffed everything out. Wilkins just gelled the team together, continually moving the ball and prodding for openings.

Bindon will be good, but we need an older tough to beat organiser with him. I thought Selles would put one of the new lads on to have ago. It doesn't say much for them if. One and Cannon on the wings are better options than them. AI is only a faster algorithm. No matter how good it is it is unlikely to capture all the variables that influence individual and team performances.

Brian Clough, Dave Bassett, Neil Warnock and Chris Wilder, would not score well on the behaviours good managers should have if you let AI decide it. With every one of those you knew exactly where they stood. "Does this lad need an arm around the shoulder or does he need a kick up the hole" Those are in the moment evaluations rather than reading a prepared script. Brighton and Brentford have a good blend for recruitment. Data with an experienced scout who sees things clearly is obviously involved there too. Seeing Ollie Watkins, Ivan Toney, Bryan Mbeono play it is obvious they have serious ability. So making a decision on those is relatively easy. That's the balance we need to find. AI proposing players we may not have considered. The scouts doing visual analysis. The manager reviewing and signing off.

I'm sure he won't do it with us.

If he ever sorts himself enough to fulfil his potential , a wealthy club will recognise it and buy him.

But there's no way such a club is coming for him whilst he coasts along , enjoying whatever makes him overweight and relying on occasional moments of sheer class to keep him in the side at the Lane.

Not as extreme , but he's another Mousset in mindset.
He's not overweight, short and stout. I can't believe the criticism of sometime whose run his dad's off for us week in week out.
