Well known that Cooper has dodgy knees - that's why he was so cheap
A lie wrapper in known truths make it more believable. It’s entirely possible that Robbo wasn’t started because of Wrexham interest. Just as it’s quite feasible they Cooper is being nursed through after missing the pre-season. However if he needed an op then why would we not have done it over the summer and we also moved a backup keeper out.

It’s nonsense.

Robinson was fully fit yesterday but has had a bust up with the coaching staff and wants to leave.

Cooper currently operating at about two third fitness, issues with his knee, he is not doing full training and is having injections to play. May need an op going forward but is playing through it as we have no real cover

Split in the dressing room over Selles already Robinson, Peck, Burrows are the unhappiest with tactics O’Hare also not convinced.

Interesting. I think Hamer is also in the “not happy” camp.

Well way this summers gone I’d not be surprised if some change is made what a fucking dreadful start on which was a good pre season

Surprised we sold or loaned Grbic if this was true about Cooper.

Robinson has been injured that’s undeniable we saw it happen & therefore he lacked fitness.

O’hare has played every pre season game after being dropped by wilder. I’d be surprised if he’s unhappy.

If true about Peck he needs to remember where he was a year ago, he’s achieved nothing yet & needs to do the job he’s told to do.

The biggest reason I don’t think this is true though is they literally won every pre season game apart from one to a very good side. How could anyone possibly moan going into the season when the tactics have seemingly worked in pre season.

I've heard the same. Apart from the bit about Robinson. And Cooper. And also about the split in the dressing room. And the lizard shape shifters. You did say lizard shape shifters, right? Come to think about it, we might be on about two completely different things.

Makes you think though....

Cheers for everything you did for us Chris. I had a feeling Sunday dinners with Blaster would be interesting, he’s not going to tell you things are great now is he 😁

Can't see us loaning out Grbic whilst the club know that Cooper needs surgery. But selling Anel with no incoming CB was pretty daft too... So who knows 🤷‍♂️

Probably as he’s being expected to actually run and track back.
He spent yesterday on the CB's toes , he's an overweight lad who can't keep his temper and gets far too many bookings
BUT
he knows he can produce sublimely talented moments so will never get dropped and can coast along with us , never sorting his fitness or his temper , drawing a nice wage and having a chilled life.

I can't work out from yesterday's non-performance and ridiculous tackle for their first goal ,
whether he's now dropped to a level where he's just taking the piss out of SUFC a la Lunnycunt
Or
whether he's suddenly discovered 'ambishun' and sorted out a deal at a club where he'll actually have to get off his arse.

Maybe Selles has told them they can't go out for meals and have 2 bottles of win the night before games? I suspect he could do whatever he liked previously. Maybe this whole issue is over that? Wouldn't surprise me. Sydie likes a night out. As I believe does Burrows. Robbo's missis likes him having nights out. Cooper drinks to forget Grbic.

IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW?!!!

As we trudged dejectedly off the Kop yesterday , my mates were saying "there's something deeply wrong at the club".
Looking at the transfer window and the apparent ignorance of Selles (clear from his biza bossrre statements) , and the demeanour of some of the players , I'm BBinclined to the same view.

I'm not in the least surprised to hear of dressing room discontent.

Whatever's misfiring , it needs tuning up fast , because on yesterday's evidence , the owners' stated ambition is seriously risible.

Absentee owners who've been stung £10m for a Cannon that won't fire and who have literally NO KNOWLEDGE of football or even their club's recent history with player-bungles.

Relying on a CEO who's definitely not a "football man" and a head coach who , from yesterday's selections & performance ,
has put no effort into reviewing the recent history of the squads (say , since 2019) ,
nor has taken soundings from those around him about the players ,
nor seems capable himself , just using empirical evidence , of knowing where the deficiencies are and doing anything to solve them.
The transfer window has been like watching a car crash in slow-motion.

And now every other team in the EFL knows we're in desperate recruitment trouble , so up go the transfer fees.

Shambolic.

We won all but one of our pre-season games, thanks to a bizarre own goal. Why would there be dressing room discontent between our last pre-season game and first league game, or after our first league game. If there is then we have a team of sulking prima-donnas and I'd rather we got rid of them before the manager.

Good job this isn't true and a load of made up bollocks.

Cannon won't fire? He's not been given a fair crack yet. 15-20 minutes here and there as a sub. In pre-season he was given more game time and did really well as one of the stand out players.

With us playing Campbell as the main striker and Barry signing he was always likely to play second fiddle again unless we swap to two up top mid-game. This has nothing to do with him being poor or a waste of money. It makes me laugh how much stick Cannon gets and yet Brooks, Peck snd Seriki get lauded because they came from our academy and didn't cost £10mil. All three have played as much as Cannon and in some cases more, and have been equally as good/bad as he is made out to be, but seem impervious to fault or criticism, especially golden boy Peck.

I disagree about Peck. Thought he was one of the standout players from last season and him and Souza were a great partnership. He ran out of gas leading up to the play offs and it was piss poor management that had him playing when it was patently obvious he needed a break. It does highlight the importance of Souza though and if we could have kept one player, I'd have kept him.

Oh well, I'm sure the coaches, scouts and folks that matter at the club have more qualifications than we do so they obviously know more than us...or do they 🙈🙈🙈

Peck is good one game, poor the next. He has potential, no doubt, but he lacks any kind of consistency. I can't remember anytime where he's put in back to back good performances for more than two games. When he's good he is good. When he is poor, he is very poor. To this extent he reminds me of Sander Berge, and like Berge I can't figure out his best position. He's not an out and out defensive midfielder. He's not a box to box midfielder and he's not an out and out attacking midfielder. Putting in tackles is his forte and yet he can't play as a defensive midfielder like Souza despite this being his key attribute.

He's definitely not the finished article and without Souza, or a Stuart McCall type of player at the side of him I do worry that his confidence and development will be affected. We need to act fast on the recruitment after yesterday but I've got this nagging feeling, even after one game that if we don't get it right after 5 or 6 games we'll be back on the managerial merry go round and dark skies will be appearing over BDTBL.

If you were Robinson what would you do?. Seriously? The fans dont want him and he has 11 months left on a contract. Why wouldn't he look after himself and try and engineer a longer term deal? The issue is not him....its a club that, as yet and despite the fucking obvious, hasn't sorted out replacements......yet.
A Manager who has never been a professional footballer doesn't command the same respect. Selles only played for his University. The fans & majority of players at Hull & Reading thought he waa a joke. We all know our owners have spent a their money just buying us so they chose Selles because he has a Masters degree in sport subjects. So hes intelligent but that doesn't guarantee a good manager. The vast majority of fans knew it was a dangerous appointment but the owners know even less about Championship football than Selles does. We're an unlucky club.

Pecks, not good enough... there I've said it. Run around head less chicken!

A Manager who has never been a professional footballer doesn't command the same respect.
Football is littered with exceptionally talented players that failed at management
There are also quite a few very good managers that were not very good at playing football

The fans & majority of players at Hull & Reading thought he waa a joke.
Have you inside info on the player reactions and thoughts on Selles ??
There are a couple of players in our squad that seem quite willing to play for him again
Table 19 knows F All
