Have United released a list of players we are freeing? If so, I haven't seen it...

That's probably a function of the change in manager and the lack of players out of contract this season. I'd expect it sometime over the next couple of weeks.

They have ran out of A3 paper.

Got this list off blades mad:

Kingsley James
Poyra Ahmadi
Troy Penny-Cooke Morgan
Jordan Chappell
Elian Parrino
Rob Kozluk
Philip Roe
Ryan France
Sam Andrew

Finally got rid of France then, What a signing he was. Shame about Kozluk, he would have been decent cover or a reliable defender at L1 level. Not the best but far from the worst.

Troy Penny-Cooke Morgan

Thank god for that. Imagine the cost of that on your shirt!

If that list is on Blades mad, is it correct or just speculation?

Now I have truly heard it all. Kozluk was the waste of a shirt and salary. Woeful trier who had next to no ability and filled a shirt for the best part of 10 years one way or another. Glad he has gone. Dressing room will be shit without him though.

I liked the Argie lad too. Makes me wonder who made this call. Pembo? Birch? Morgan? All three and more?

but was this list compiled before dw took over?
surely he must have a say on who he thinks could cut it at the current grade?
to be honest, parrinno must surely be a potential talent at this grade?you could tell in his few appearances that he was a cut above in what we had in his position.

As Parrino was on loan last season we might have had to pay to keep him this season. However, I'd agree that if the terms were right we should try and keep him. He definitely looked a better player than Neill Collins.

"A little earlier in the season, Sheffield United spoke to my agent and suggested that I would be given a contract at Bramall Lane next season and I was very happy about this but I have learned things can change quickly in football.

"At the minute my agent is talking to people to see what other options there are.

"I'd certainly be interested in an offer to stay at Sheffield United if one did come up in the summer. But I just want to play football. That is why I am here."

I'm not sure what to make of that; does it suggest that we backed out of offering him a contract after we realised we would be getting relegated, or that Parrino doesn't fancy playing in League 1? Quite possibly the former.

I think the fact we've changed manager 4 times since he originally signed on loan may have had a lot to do with it as well. Plus, Wilson will more than likely have not seen him play at all. Maybe a trial in pre-season could be beneficial for both parties!

Hadn't Parrino said he was a centre back by trade but played at fullback to try and get his chance over here?

So maybe he is an expensive luxury when we already have Morgan, Maguire, Collins and Ertle on the books.

It does bother me that everyone is announcing who is being released and we seem to be saying to the world that we have no idea yet what our plans ar efor the squad. I know it's early in the pre-season but I want to see as much movement as early as possible so we have a settled squad training together by the time everything starts.

What a thrill collins and doyle staying, two of the worst players for a long time, sad to say and even worse we paid for collins.

I wonder how much it cost to pay off Carver and Adams? Pity Carver did'nt stay, don't think we would of gone down.

That quote from Parrino sounds fairly unambiguous to me. He'd be happy to stay and play in League One if we offer him a contract.
A 22 year old who can play both right back and centre back, available on a free from the South American Champions.
Providing he's not expecting a fortune in wages, I can't see us getting many better offers this Summer.

Parrino is listed on the PFA free transfers list.

A shame if we have let him go as he seems a decent player.

How about an email to the new manager of PORT VALE FC, along the lines of

Dear Mr Adams,
If you really are the true Blade that you say you are, could you plese put in a substantial offer to Sheffield United FC for the services of Neil Collins and Michael Doyle. As you signed them previously, your opinions of these players must be high. I know the Boardroom at Bramall Lane will snatch your hands off if a few bob is offered.
Yours sincerely

Blades fans.
