Did I imagine it or was there a Warnock game where we had enough red cards and injuries to get below the minimum number of players needed on the pitch to get the game stopped....or did that only almost happen ?

1989-90That was 1988-89 Bassett promotion season from Div 3 I think.
Correct, 89/90 season:
Losing 3-2 at Chelsea at the end and West Ham coming from 3-0 down with 3 penalties (I think) to get us religated.

If you mean 94 then too many Pork Pies have done for your memory function Mr Jolly
Everton came back from 2 nil down at home to Wimbledon (thanks to some, ahem, weak goalkeeping from that cheating cunt Segers) and West Ham scored in the last minute to draw 3 all with the Saints but the Shammers were safe - had Southampton lost they would have gone down.
Of course the other freak result was us going 2-1 up with under 15 minutes left only to somehow lose 3-2. It was a freak day all round.
Blackburn should have had a penalty when Dave Lineghan handledThere was another result that went against us: Ipswich drawing 0-0 at Blackburn when defeat would have relegated them.
A couple of games that stick in my mind are firstly when we played Scunny off the park but lost 0-4 at home and around 1980 ish when we scored 4 in 5 minutes just before half time at the Lane end and did bugger all for the rest of the game.
Beating Ipswich at the lane, was the score 7-1 or 7 nil? Biggest score I've ever seen in person there.
Didn't Kelly get lobbed for one of theirs? Was that the one? Early in the season, maybe first home game?Blades 4-4 Birmingham
2-0 down in no time, gareth Taylor got one back before half time, before Walker got two and Taylor another in the second half.
Then we went back to sleep and Birmingham scored twice in the last 10-15 mins.
Left the ground not sure whether I should be happy we had drawn or peed off we hadn`t won.
the game I always mention in this context is our 5-1 win over Huddersfield in March 1989.
Was that Simon Tracey's debut? I have a half-memory of some sort of goalkeeper fact from that game.

I remember The second goal - MikeNewell bent the ball in at the near post, fooling Kelly completely.
Jonathan Hunt scored Brum's fourth from the penalty spot.
Ah, the penalty was the third...my memory!
That fourth goal was some strike.
You can see Kachouro celebrating some of our goals. He came on as sub and then was substituted: that wasn't the last time that happened.
Three of Birmingham scorers went on to play for usGood find - I remember the game and the Newell goal but not much else - though it's all come back to me now.
Bit of an unusual one - the first four Birmingham players mentioned in the commentary on that clip, all later went on to play for us!
Never to be forgotten - the day we moved into this house. I am sure I am correct in thinking it was also the first game we lost that season. And the month was October. One that sticks in my mind is when basets side battered west ham with about 28 corners in one half and Mark ward scored twice for them to win 2-0
40 yr old Phil Parkes had a ten out of ten that day
