As I see it with Bromby leaving I think we will now need cover for RB and CB as he coould play in both positions as well as a new midfielder and another striker.

Will we get any of these and how many will be after Tuesday on loan deals?

Also, could Naughton be one of the loanees!? Walker could definitely play CB and Naughton looks like he will only get cup games for the time being.

Can't see any way Naughton will be on his way back and I don't think there'll be a reappearance of Tonge, Quinn or Stead for that matter.
If our interest in Tommy Smith was legitimate (and funded) it'd suggest that there's some cash for a permanent signing although I'm not holding my breath.
My guess is we'll see a few loanees making their way to BDTBL. If we do spend money on someone you'd figure it'd be a defender as we're looking very thin on the ground now Naughton, Walker and Bromby have gone and Gearey looks permanently crocked.

I suppose the Naughton idea was a bit pie in the sky but the defence is very lacking - I can't think of any player who could cover any of the four positions who is a recognised defender.
France could play RB - with Walker moving to CB if needed - who else though? There is no recognised LB until Naysmith is fit again.

Carney could have played at full back at a pinch too. The more I think about it the more I think there'll be a couple of defenders on their way.

Must be a few rabbits in hats to be pulled out by Blacky, unless his trailing of a midfielder and a striker means the new plan is just to attack attack attack attack:thumbup:

I doubt Naughton will come back. Especially now Chimbonda has left Spurs.

Naughton won't be coming back.

I agree we need to sign people in every department, but like said above it will more than likely be loans now. We need 2 defenders at least now Bromby is going, still a central midfielder and a striker.

Defenders are imperative at the moment, we're so short on numbers.

We've only had Bromby back for five minutes and he's off again? So much for "coming home". It must have just been to get his laundry done and get some money off Dad, like students in the summer.
