Can we play Saturdays please instead of Sundays in the close season. I'll bring the ball and a box of warm lager for half time in return.

I can remember that well. Me and Big Mart was supposed to be the defensive dream team marshalling at the back, a bit like Bill and Ben, if Bill didn’t get you, then Ben did, but he went off injured after what must have been two minutes and got hammered for it. I enjoyed it and I had a bit of a ding dong all match with one of their strikers with me and him booting lumps out of each other, although I did take all the skin of my thigh and I cleaned him and the ball up with a proper slide tackle on that terrible Sheffield Aurora AstroTurf pitch. Still shook his hand at the end of the match. You played well apart from the airshot

I would be up for a bit of forum footy, I’ll probably enjoy it now I’m a lot fitter and I’m good shape, although I will struggle to make it most weeks as the lad plays Sunday football

Cheers mate, I was pretty Rusty! Yes I it's coming back to me now, you did well and despite the score I think you had the measure of the lad. Enjoyed it though. A while back I drove past when they were knocking all the Club House down and all that, a pretty melancholy moment to be honest.
 
What about playing in evenings instead of mornings? And like Steve said, Saturday mornings if so ??

Weekday evenings would be good.

Preferably not Tuesdays as I played for a team and I made up an excuse that meant I wasn't available for Tuesday nights anymore and they still play down there.

Thursday evenings is best for me

Anyone else the same??
 
I've just noticed there's a new Tuesday night league starting at Goal on 5th April - any guys on here interested in getting a team together to join that league? (Means we only need to get 6/7 each week rather than the 10+)
 



I'm good every third Tuesday between 8.32 and 9.14, unless it follows a day of low pressure with cumulonimbus clouds. Any good for anyone else?
 
I can do Thursdays aslong as it's not too late in the evening, work Thursday night!
 
Me and Small already play at Goals on Thursday evenings, so that’s us buggered.

but do you fight with each other as much when you play football together as you do when posting on here?
