This is in General Blades Chat as it is an open invite to all.

For a few years, a number of us have been intermittently meeting on a Sunday morning to have a friendly, "non-competitive" game of football. It started as a way to keep in touch through the close season and carried on.

All age-ranges and abilities are welcome and the cost of the pitches are shared equally between those playing.

This week we'll be playing at Powerleague (Pitz), behind Woodbourne Road Tram Stop (S9 3HL) and the cost will be around £2 each.

So, if anyone is free this coming Sunday morning and fancies a game, this is what you need to know:

Venue: Powerleague (Pitz), behind Woodbourne Road Tram Stop (S9 3HL)

Time: 10:00
Cost: Around £2 each.
What you need: Trainers or astro-turf boots. No studs. Shinpads optional. A sense of humour.

Guests are welcome.

Please yay or nay for definite by Friday night if possible.

RSVP by replying to this thread!

Non-members can express an interest by email to [email protected]

I'm a yes providing my ankle has returned to normal size and at least normalish colour :)

I'm hoping to be there but having spoke to my doctor today and checking my blood pressure he's not entirely sure I should do the full 2 hours running round like a nutter, although he says I need to lose weight etc...

Perhaps if the team 163 runner had done his job I'd have got away without the doctors lecture!!!

:)

You should deffo still play if doc says you need the exercise - just don't do the "prison footy" bit :D

Ankle feels like it'll be okay by the weekend. Any more?

Add me to the list of walking wounded. 50/50 atm.

I'll make a glorious comeback on Sunday if we have the numbers, probably only go in the net though, I've got a game at 2!

Badger's dad would love to join us, but Badger doesn't want him to come down !!

Sorry Luke :)

We'll all pretend we don't know who he is if it's a problem :)

Old blood. Exactly what's needed.

I wouldn't mind my dad coming down thinking about it, but he managers a junior team so wouldn't be able to make it, what are the chances! :(

Stuff to do so might not be there bang on 10.
