I've given up getting involved in threads like this. Its almost as if you're committing a crime akin to kiddy fiddling or something by being positive and enthusiastic about our club. I've never in my life come across such a bunch of miserable sods who can only put people down for getting a bit excited. "Getting ahead of yourselves", "leave this kind of talk to the pigs", "ooh watch out for Brentford" and rubbish like this is the best contribution they can make to a discussion. What a fucking shower, can't you get therapy for this kind of outlook on life?

It's the pervading Sheffield mentality unfortunately. Low expectations minimise disappointment.

Last season we dropped points against crap teams at the bottom of the league like Bolton, Birmingham at home and away at Dull, QPR, Barnsley, Birmingham and Forest (who were on a terrible run). We also gave away some points - letting Villa score right at the end and letting in soft equalizers v. Cardiff and Millwall at home. We also lost games we should have won e.g. Brizzle at home. We are clearly going to have a few results like that this season too but if we can cut some of those results and turn losses to wins or draws and draws to wins that will make a huge difference to our points total. It would have got us to the play offs last season. The evidence so far is that we may be able to do that e.g. the wins v. Norwich, Preston and Millwall.

Of course we should all enjoy our recent results but that's not really what you're jumping up and down about is it. You're getting wayyyyyyyyyyy ahead of the timeline and to say avenging the reverse at Boro leaves it wide open is frankly very silly as it ignores the boatloads of points available to all between now and then.

Why does it any more than your waiting to fail attitude. You've already decide we won't be top 2 on gd if things continue . How co.me other teams can't falter be we are certs to fuck it up. Don't get it at all.
