It's an interesting one. Lovely player to watch, but as far as being a £35m player, there are gaps and defects in his game. England u21 tournament highlighted this - his end product was a bit erratic. Certainly missed some excellent chances.

Harvey Elliott, a mildly similar player, was absolutely clinical and therefore easy to conclude he's a player better suited to the upper echelons of the European game.

McAtee could make it at one of the big teams, talent wise, but personally think he's more a Fulham/Palace type strong team member. Would be delighted if I'm wrong as I really like him as a player and a guy.

With how much they paid for him, no - sadly not.
They'll be looking to recoup against that hefty transfer fee with a sizeable loan fee and all wages covered.

The only chance we see McAtee here again is if we get promoted and the owners decide to make a big splash in the transfer market. But by that point he'll have moved somewhere else.

I can't see Forest planing McAtee to a relegation rival. I can't see anyone other than a relegation rival in the Premier wanting him neither. But I appreciate it's a real longshot.
