Worrying that some think he hasn't got the mental toughness. That sort of reminds me of both Wilson and Woodburn neither of whom wanted to get involved or to "mix it". You've got to learn to take a few hits to survive in the game. We'll see. If he "stinks the gaff out" as stated in one report, I hope he's got the mental toughness to go again.

I think he’ll flourish under wilder

Dont worry hes a much better duffy alternative than woodworm

Watching clips of Woodburn recently from his Liverpool days and he seems to be more suited to playing off a striker, like how Brooks did for us last season with Clarke, rather than playing behind two forwards in the hole. I imagine Woodburn will go back now but I do hope he goes onto have a good career, its a shame it didn't work out here.

Dowell on the other hand seems an out an out number 10 and ideally suited to how we play behind two forwards.

My worry is there is clearly a hell of a lot of “ if we can get his work rate up” “ if cuts out the back heels” “ if he gets stuck in”

I hope to god it works out but for me I would prefer a player with no “ifs”

He just does what we need from now until the end of the season

Once he puts on that red and white shirt , and he feels the atmosphere ( like against Derby 2nd half ) , and the rest of the players click around him ( like against Derby 2nd half ) He will love it !! It wont matter one bit how he played for who ever in the past !!
He`s a BLADE now !

Roy you are a diamond getting these so quickly at the holiday period - hope you had a good Christmas mate

I don't read too much into their negative comments there. Forest are hardly top class, are they?

Here he comes into an established system, with good character, togetherness, good competition with Duffy, and a side that won't rely on him as Forest did, but instead surround him with honest pros who he can learn from.

They expect a lot at Forest, as they've thrown money at it and gotten desperate. Plus they don't have a consistent blue print of how they want to play or the players they want for the system: hence him burning out rather early on.

Woodburn didn’t help himself by announcing he could be the new David Brooks. Maybe Woodburn came to the lane believing his own publicity and thought he would be a first teamer from day one. That wouldn’t go down well with Chris.
Woodburn should take a look at Hendo, He’s a Man U starlet in the making, but while he’s here he’s most definitely 100% Blade.

Where did you get that rumor ?

Sounds pretty shit. Hopefully he isn't pretty shit.

Players perform differently in diff sides , agree with above regarding him playing in the Duffy role as when I’ve seen him he plays behind the front two to find space .. He’ll be better Wilson that much I do know .. or hope !!!

)
Quick work Royston ! Thanks a lot as always appreciated
According to one of the Everton comments Calvert Lewis not good enough dreamland if we could get him back on loan

Looks like the Everton management don't agree, seems to be a regular first teamer now.

Bit like Woodburn WB ?;)

Snowman the stink the gaff out bit. I discount because how anyone can make long term judgements on 1 league cup tie v Rotherham or Southampton. When nobody really cares

He's hardly coming from Everton to chase the cash.
Oh Yes DCL left to chase the cash. It had nothing to do with him not getting a sniff of a game under Wilder.

Why should a young player not make themselves financially secure?

And if you say you would not take the opportunity to be financially secure for life you are either fucking stupid or a liar.
