Come on,got to be it now.

It's looking good Bob, better than it's looked for a long long time. But the football Gods, like the Gods that watch over the rest of my life, are always watching!

But we have something we didn't have before, we have a Wilder, and it seems he doesn't give a fuck about the Football Gods :)

2/1 for Fleetwood looks an absolute steal with the way the others are trying their best to screw things up.

Why not go for Blades first, Fleetwood second at 4/1?

5/1 before last nights games
15/2 before last weekends games

As an insurance saver, Fleetwood first, Blades second at 40/1

On paper it's not so certain, at least if you take an objective look at the table without looking at form. We have a 7 point lead over Scunny and Fleetwood, nine over Bolton who have a game in hand, so that could be cut to six. 12 games left, 36 points to play for. It's certain that two of SUFC, Bolton, Fleetwood and Scunny won't get automatic. We're on the finishing strait but there's a way to go yet. If we lose on Saturday and a couple of our rivals win, our lead could potentially be cut to 3/4 points.

Well done I was going for 15 minutes before someone would point out it could all go tits up , but you only took 10

what my post said was in the entire history of this league no team with 7 point lead, with this number of games has ever been caught
history is on our side

I wouldnt bet on bolton or scunny beating maltby miners welfare just now

I put a quid on Fleetwood finishing as champions at 50/1 monday (I would assume the odds have shortened after last nights fixtures).

I think we will finish first but a consolation prize of 2nd a £51 isn't too bad :)

We could always offer up CW as a human sacrifice if the Football Gods get really pissed off?
Mind you the FA would probably deduct points if we did!

I've offered them Piers Morgan. Not because I think it will do us any good, just that it might be fun watching his sacrifice ;)

The thing that last nights results did, was change my mentality slightly.

Up until 9:30pm(ish) last night I was only concerned about automatic promotion - 'get the job done' approach. However, the hunger to be Champions has taken over. From what we've seen this season it would be a travesty for us not to win it.

I cant explain how much I would love to see us steam roller our way to the title over the next few months. Putting it beyond all doubt that we are the best team in the division. Also think it would benefit us next season by way of momentum.

I read a post by Ricky on another thread and he said we'd need 3/4 quality signings maximum, and this is spot on, the possibility of tweaking this squad to perceived Championship level is exciting, and with the togetherness and momentum building we could get ourselves on one hell of a roll.

The bookes cant watch a lot of football, if they think Scunthorpe have a better chance of promotion than Fleetwood.

10/3 on Fleetwood is a great bet.

16/1 for Millwall is very good. I'm having that.

They're only 6 points off 2nd.

Edit: It's 20/1 on 365.

That's my bet and i've said it for a while but never went through with the bet until last night.

If they had beat Chesterfield at home and didn't miss 2 penalties at Oldham they'd only be 2 points off!

They're on an incredible defensive run and I expect all those above to falter, including Fleetwood.

Would it invoke the wrath of the Footballing Gods that we all aspire for promotion as Champions? If we did, would the punishment be 2nd place? Just a thought......
