Either they haven't or they have actually never played 11 a-side.

As useless as Mr Yeates is, he's no worse than Little Nicky. Monty may have all the commitment and will in the world, but it can't disguise the fact that he's totally useless. Bereft af any basic football skills, and a complete lack of ability in reading the game, his 100% commitment is wasted as he simply isn't any good.

Shame really, his heart's in it, as it should be when you've been paid as handsomely as he has over the years, but there's no hiding the fact that he's no good at football.

Nick Montgomery is not a Zinedine Zidane, or even a Michael Brown. He never has been and never will be. However, to call him "totally useless" is to seriously misjudge him.

Warnock, Robson, Blackwell, Speed and Adams obviously all think he has ability sufficient to make him a regular first team player. Are they all wrong? Robson may have been lacking as a manager, but I think most on this forum agree that he was very capable of spotting a decent player. Similarly, Speed was an excellent player and has played at the highest level. That doesn't make him a good manager, but I would venture to say that it does mean he has a good idea of what makes a decent player.

In the premier league, where most thought he would be buried without trace, Montgomery showed beyond any doubt that he is not a poor player.

The last 5 managers have been responsible for an ongoing decline. Perhaps the common theme of playing Monty might be a contributing factor as is the last 4 playing Cresswell.

That's like saying we haven't won a game since Williamson's return, so perhaps he's responsible for our current bad run.

Let's look at this Monty situation. Clearly our midfield is suffering greatly without him... even the most ardent Monty hater should be able to agree with this. Without him our form has dropped to the point where we're likely to be relegated. If we get relegated the club will lose a significant amount of money. Paying Monty $1m a year looks pretty good value if he was able to help keep us in the Championship.

My you ladies can get bitchy:rolleyes: Just because some of us want a little more than a runner who can't control a football in the midfield, you all get your claws out.

Sitters, you're a bit of a joke really, can dish it out but can't hack it should anybody dare to disagree with you. Sorry, shouldn't really say that as I bet you've played in lots of 11 a side games, and all at the highest level and so that's what makes your opinion the most valid....not

To be honest I couldn't give two fucks because love Monty or loathe him, we're stuck with him and no matter what, that's one of the reasons we'll go down this season. Or am I wrong, will the wounded hero come back and do something he's failed to do so far this season, inspire the team that he captains to become more than a two bob rubbing rag outfit.

>Warnock, Robson, Blackwell, Speed and Adams Are they all wrong?
yes absolutely.. they are all useless as well.. note the connection

>Clearly our midfield is suffering greatly without him
we lost one game one nil to a wonder goal so clearly it isn't
