Fool one:
A work colleague (Man U plastic) was beamoaning his hockey game on Saturday being cancelled at short notice as he’d turned down loads of other plans and offers, including a house viewing, and had nothing to do. I told him to get down the Lane as he’d almost certainly see a highly entertaining game, particularly for a neutral.
He called and rearranged his house viewing for 14:45 on Saturday afternoon.
Fool two:
Close friend of mine (Crewe fan) decided he wanted a season ticket at one of the Sheffield clubs, and having just moved to S6 and having mates he could go with, he got a ticket for the unclean. I told him he’d made an error, and that he’d have got much better value and entertainment at BDTBL.
The one saving grace here is that he’s reporting back to me how awful Wednesday are. He said their win over Ipswich was the worst game he’d ever seen (which obviously includes seeing Crewe in the 4th tier).
