One of the better performers in the whole squad and statistically one of the best keepers in the league.

He dropped a clanger today, but you know what fcuk it..... we are all entitled to a clanger. His own reaction aftwrwards shows that he himself wasn't happy with it.

He will bounce back and he will come stronger.

With some of the shite playing in front of him at the minute, then he is e titled a mistake. Hes mopping up for the most....

He made loads of mistakes today, on the third he dived with the wrong hand. He's in awful form for the last 5 games and because the opposition have 25 shots per game, by the law of averages it looks like he has done OK.

We didn’t sign another keeper though, add that to the decent LWB, RCB, DM and Forward we didn’t bother with and it’s obvious why we’re shit.

Where was the cover ffs?

Too eager to point the finger of blame at individual players when tactically we are set up to fail.

I know. If you look at the match ratings on here, our players get on average 5.4 out of 10 this season.
Wes is our fourth highest ranked player.
Our manager is on average 4.8 out of 10 so rates even worse than the players.
We need to change the manager

For a left -footed player, it’s odd that all Wes’s mistakes come when he ventures out to the left of the box. In fact has he ever come out and not made an absolute Horlicks of a situation?

My guess is that he's overcompensating. He sees all these "modern" goalkeepers and their ball-playing and he wants to show that he can do more than just hoof the ball into the stands.
But keepers like him should keep it as simple as possible.

To be fair yes it was a howler, but there are 6 or 7 players I would get rid of before him , thought he did make a few good saves yesterday.

And next week he’s back to Turf Moor, scene of one of his monumental fkups from last season.

He ain’t changed this clip 11 years ago

Watching that recon he's freetening Heckingbottom to keep his place. Nutter.
Reality is there is always a mistake in him when he walks on the pitch. I have little confidence in him.
I have been watching Blades goalkeepers since Ted Burgin and the general standard was high but this lad is well in the bottom 10%.
The weaker side of his game appears not to have improved.

Wes is the least of our problems right now. A howler like that loses some credit in the bank. But overall he built up a lot of credit plus we have one or two to others to get rid of first.

Souza, Fleck Thomas, Bogle, Larouicci, Robinson , Trusty, Brewster, McBurnie, Lowe, Norwood, Osborn, Egan, Azhedomic.Hamer, Archer, Traore. Mcatee. RND.

And a couple to say thank you to and let them off. Basham, and Baldock.

I will be delighted when Wes is our biggest problem.

Completely disagree one of the biggest mistakes we made was not getting another keeper
Errors every game he can’t play the sweeper keeper role doesn’t command his area distribution poor all the time from hands and feet
You build a team from the back and start with your keeper

Crazy post, it’d been 6 today if he’d not pulled off those saves in the second half. Made a mistake, yeah, but if the 10 blokes in front showed us some bollocks he’d be much less under the cosh
It’s not a crazy post our keeper has a mistake in him everytime he takes to the field. That mistake was the killer game was lost then we were never going to score two. As the game went on the defenders stopped passing the ball back to him no
Confidence in him. Visiting fans taking the piss out of him it was embarrassing one of the worse keepers we have had. And he hasn’t changed

We could’ve signed 30 free agents who would’ve been better than Davies but chose not to. Baffling

Hang on. When some of us (probably yourself included) were telling everyone who could be bothered to listen on here that TD would be a mistake of a signing because he was a walking sick note, and not that great anyway when he actually got onto the pitch. They were ridiculed by some others on here who were taking the piss that we were against TD because he wore strange clothes and displays a bit of individualism. Despite some of us stating 'no, it's because he's always injured, be on large wages and will in all probability be a piss poor signing'.

Wonder if the little monkeys who liked to be smug in the summer with their piss takes all think he's been a cracking signing now and is worth the very healthy weekly wage and £1m signing on fee we are paying/ have paid? Still, he's got a nice wardrobe and will look super cool when he drops by at Shirecliffe now and again. These people are the types of people who would give out their bank account details to a caller who 'works' for their Bank and who just needs to verify a few details and take their full security details to help with a problem on their account.... Basically mugs. And that includes PH.

We sold Ramsdale for big money and he had a similar howler except someone got back on the line to clear it. I do get your point though as the modern game has more keepers playing the ball out from the back. I do get your point about starting to build your team from the back. But I would disagree in this case.

A keeper like you mentioned costs alot of money. We don't have any players to comfortably take the ball and keep possession. There is no pattern to how we play. Wes has also played well in games and is an excellent shot stopper.
Even with his failings in my view there are other problems to fix first.

There are other problems to fix first, but we should have used the fact that we were a newly arrive PL club to entice a top quality Championship goalkeeper. One who could have been a real mainstay at the Lane for a good few years. Like Cooper from Plymouth. It would also have allowed us to have Fodz up against a real quality keeper and given us space to move out Davies who is poor. Instead we blew £4m on Traore and £2m on Slimane who can't get a game in this shower of shite. Another Hecky masterstroke. Honestly the list of continued fuck ups from our club would be laughable if I didn't care so much.

Trouble is there's no alternative. Davies is terrible, looks petrified at even getting on the pitch. Amissah might be good enough but he's a young lad, and our defence has little enough confidence as it is.

I agree, as long as he learns from it, but he won't. Sometime in the future, he will try doing exactly the same thing, probably with same results.

I think you need to hang on mate. Well for a start I was on about Adam Davies since we’re talking about keepers 😂

And as for, for some weird reason, suggesting I thought Tom Davies was a good signing? Weird take.

People need to shake their coconut.

A - Wes’s, albeit ridiculous error was not the reason or the turning point in the match, to a man everyone was off it from the word go. Anyone thinking we could have got anything from that game without the error is crazy.

B - We drop him for who exactly?

I’m not saying he’s perfect or that he’s the best we can get for this division, they’re many a keeper out there on the continent that would probably be more assured and available at a fair price, hecky and his team decided the signing of a defensive midfielder in Souza was more a priority. The bloke is exposed, you only have to look at the goalkeeper saves stat to realise that, and therefore the risk of a mistake is only increased due to the frequency of saves and involvements he has. Tactics are to blame, they create the patterns of play

Ok point taken re AD. However I was actually stating that you (like myself at the time) was probably saying (before we signed him) that Tom Davies would be a poor signing and injury prone, and that there were OTHERS on here who were taking the piss out of the ones on here who said as such as they thought we had some sort of vendetta against him just because he was into fashion. Some of us (probably yourself included) could see he would be a injury prone expensive crock of shit. Nothing to do with what rags he wears in his personal life.
