Flecks goal

Was going to say Leeds goal has a more "spectacular" finish, distance and power wise, but then I've just seen that Fleck megged the keeper so fuck off Sky.

It does feel like even if we won the Champions League we'd get no coverage.

Apparently not the goal of the weekend though.

Leeds are Sky's Championship sweethearts this season, partly due to the Bielsa thingy, and along with Derby due to cuddly Frank. We had it to a large extent last season and I have never seen us on the TV as much. The Pigs had it during the season where they hit Wembley.

They'll have moved onto someone else soon.

They've even managed to slap Lumphead on one of those floating chocolate buttons that they have on the EFL opening titles. Looks shocking, proper last minute job.

Just seen Fleck hasn't been selected for the Scotland squad again. Crazy.

Don't know which part of that made me laugh more...'lumphead' or 'floating chocolate buttons'
:D

What I noticed this time is that Sharp keeps possession and holds the ball up twice under quite difficult circumstances before finding a teammate. Quality forward play, that.

Yet another reminder of his all-round game, which some seem to conveniently forget when they say he contributes nothing to the team when he’s not scoring. Posted this elsewhere but it’s highlighted by the amount number 10 appears on the below.

A lot of sideways and backwards passing.
or a triumph for patience, great movement, accurate passing and waiting for the killer pass and finish.

Admittedly they just sat back and watched and better teams would have killed the move several times before Fleck put the ball away but great to watch nonetherless :)

Lovely patient build-up, passing on the deck, holding the ball well, every pass directed accurately to a team-mate, except that it began with a hoof... 15 passes, 1 hoof. Nothing wrong with playing the type of ball judged best by the player in view of the situation he finds himself in?

Watching that it seemed like we were playing a friendly.

This was something we needed to do more last season though, against the likes of Wednesday at the lane, where they came and parked the bus, with no interest in trying to match us in midfield (and why would/ should they when they were clearly going to be dominated there).

You have to sometimes tease teams forward when we are in possession. Its not that you have to play back to the keeper, all the initial play in the Fleck goal was around halfway to the middle of their half. A complete dead zone, however, we drew them out and created space for Stevens down the left and then for Fleck and perhaps McGoldrick (couldn't see his number, but the optajoe diagram shows 17, which is McG) to break into the box. The latter playing the ball to Stevens and then backing up fleck in case the ball went through.

The Scottish setup won't even be aware of Fleck.

They'll look at the last few years, see who's played midfield and pick amongst them. If they're not on the radar they don't exist. Here's to flecky continuing to not exist.

Daily Mirror gave John Fleck a six in their ratings this morning.

Alex Mcleish must be moonlighting as The Mirrors football reporter.

Watched it on the stream and if anyone watching that game thought Fleck was only worth a 6 then they are either blind, biased, stupid or all three.

Fleck was the closest I’ve seen to a 10 from any player I’ve seen this season.

I think Leeds were on TV the most out of any championship team last season, the same as Villa.

Apart from the fact that Leeds were absolute shite for 2/3 of the season which is outrageous that anyone could justify shoving them on Sky every other week

Every time I see or hear a feature on the efl it is half Leeds,a quarter frank lampard and the rest about everyone else
