Let's be fair plenty on here don't rate any of our squad. He's surrounded by shite, but most appreciate he's their biggest talent, by quite a margin.
Personally I think it's easier to appreciate players from other teams without any bias. Much like many of our squad, he was part of the best team they've had for about 20 years, and is now part of one of the worst. Doesn't necessarily mean he's got any worse though.

i took quite a few pikes on there last season and bannan got slated on loads of occasions by pig fans hes nothing like as good as your making out and he definetly wouldnt get in our championship team a fully fit fleck blinds him

Well he created the most big chances for them (also top 5 in the league), completed the most passes, the most final third passes (top 10 in the league), the most dribbles and had the highest expected assists. All of which screams good player, shite team.

Many fans can't see past a poor result and will expect their only good player to win it single handedly.
Most of the more intelligent Wednesday fans I know still appreciate his quality, particularly in a team that retains possession.

It's laughable that anyone can think that Barry Banana would improve our side / squad full stop. Red n White blinkers on or not. He's an ageing players on the slide and I've seen him enough times on the box and spoke to enough Grunter fans (who think that he tries to make everything go through him and that he slows all their attacking impetus down) to realise that he's simply not good enough for Utd.

We need strength, height, and physicality in our midfield reinforcements this pre season. Slap-eard Bazzaboi offers non of these qualities. I'd only consider bringing him in if we needed a chimney sweep apprentice down at Shirecliffe.
