Can't remember playing new years eve before. Can anyone refresh my memory please?
Away to Hull in 1977 (won 3-2), Home to Bolton in 1983 (won 5-0), Away to Preston in 1988 (lost 2-0), Home to Pompey in 1994 (won 3-1), home to Stoke in 2005 (won 2-1) and home to Hartlepool in 2011 (won 3-1)

Northampton at home on New Years Eve. Think first time we ever played them in a league game was about that time in 1966. Am I right in thinking we've only played them twice in the league at home - the other being the promotion from the old Fourth Division?

So, generally when NYE falls on a Saturday.

The league has decided to play all last day fixtures in Championship, L1 and L2 on different Saturdays.

The last day of the season is now 3 bloody weeks long. Another bright idea from
Err no they are not! League One final weekend is the week before Championship and League Two. Championship is on Sunday and League Two on Saturday. League One is the week before because the League One play-off final is a week earlier due to the FA Cup final being on the bank holiday Saturday.

Anybody notice the similarities to 2014-15?

- Away at Bristol on Valentine's Day

- Bradford at home third to last match of season

- Chesterfield at home last match of season

Cheers mate, so it's once in the last 10 years! My memory doesn't stretch no where near that far, I can just about remember posting that question earlier on today and it was answered in fabulous style, I never doubted you. :)

Roll on Bolton away and new years eve. ;)

I know its a cliche that there are no easy games but the last 2 months of the season do look as though they'll be difficult for us, however it may not matter in the end just like last season!

Obviously it depends on who we sign this summer, a lot of us aren't very optimistic about signing players for the positions we need but that is no surprise due to our usual woeful record in transfer windows. Its not just the difficulty in getting players for the positions we require either, they also need to be of good enough quality for promotion and that is what we'll have to wait and see as this summer pans out.

CHED scores for chezzy last match at home omreligate us and win them automatic. Couldn't feckin write it. I am getting so pissed off for some reason.

I look down that list and I still can't believe we are in this league.

This will be our year.

After the 2005 Stoke win, I ended up having a couple of pints with Neil Shipperley in the Howard

Southend and bristol on Tuesday nights while we play Scunthorpe and Chesterfield on Saturday afternoons, great planning again.
