Hi Folks,

I've been a long time reader of S24SU, however I've not posted before.

I can't get to the games but enjoy S24SU on twitter and quite like Ollesandro's off the wall humour.

welcome to the boards mate.. nice place louth, although when you're coming back from mablethorpe you're driving for hours and never seem to get any nearer the spire of the cathedral! :D

I went to Mablethorpe in February once. For anyone who has seen or read The Road by Cormac McCarthy, I need say little more.

Isn't there a poster not far from Louth who travels to games in a pink Merc? Maybe you could get a lift off him LouthBlade.

Welcome to the forum :)

Yep John Shuttleworth is a big name out here. Trouble is we sometimes have to decipher his humour for our Lincolnshire friends. They believe its an acquired taste.

i don't know anyone with a pink merc I'll look out for him.

Thanks for your all your welcomes

Mablethorpe is the end of the road in every respect.

On my way back I only get happy when I can see St James Church in Louth

There used to be a police box (Tardis) on a triangular bit of verge where two roads meet, just as you come out of louth on the mablethorpe side. Way before the bypass was built. Barbara Dixon lives there and there used to be good ice cream made there i think. We're full of small talk on here, so please join in and welcome.

Welcum t the forum mi owd spadge. Nice to have someone with good taste :D I bet you would have bought one of Van Gogh's paintings when he was alive ;)

Certainly would, I like a bit of Vincent.

I like spadge that's what my dad used to call me, my kids and grand kids run a mile and roll their eyes when I use it on
them.

Certainly would, I like a bit of Vincent.

I saw Mr Van Gough in the pub the other day, I said ''hey up Vince orate? he replied ''Ey not bad''. Me ''Fancy a drink''? Him ''no ta av got one ear''.
