It would be slightly pathetic to ban anyone because a few sensitive souls are so incredibly intolerant of their opinions.
But less so to ban someone for ruining thread after thread.

Do you, for example, enjoy reading "great player, so we won't sign him" in every player suggestion thread?

I'm not sure you and him arent one and the same.

The only way I'd see that as a reason to ban someone is if their comments were consistently irrelevant to the thread. If they're nothing but relevant opinions, I'm afraid you'll just have to suck it up. It takes more than one person to ruin a thread anyway. It is possible not to reply. You don't need an ignore button. If I replied to everything I disagreed with I'd be on here all day every day.

cant believe the total surrender on any hope in November

Coventry afyer 9 games were 5 points off top now lead by 3 an 8 point swing
we do that we can move 2nd

28 games to change it
The performances have to swing before the results do...... And let's be honest we've seen precious little evidence that's going to happen. Can anyone tell me the last time we played well for the entire 90 minutes?

but thats the point , , at some stage when brayford and done are fully fit performances will improve, we are trundling along missing key players
Coventry have only just got better due to a couple of players , finishing their jig saw
we are still waiting for some of the edges

I see plenty n of us on the web , but even if I was in the dug out , we are still well capable of doing it with a fully fit squad and maybe 2 Adkins is after

3 wins off 2nd and automatic is not mission impossible

shittier teams have done it
Yeovil managed it and they were wank

Only because they played us and we are spineless

Aye, the Police would come knocking, for sure.

Len was banned for being a twat. Your days are numbered, I'm sure.

I'm not sure that's quite why lenners was banned, but I'd take him back any day over barny.

The only way I'd see that as a reason to ban someone is if their comments were consistently irrelevant to the thread. If they're nothing but relevant opinions

My objection to barny is nothing to do with disagreeing with his opinions (opinion really, as everything comes back to his disdain for Adkins). It's the grindingly relentless and tedious way he repeats the same thing every day on every thread.

I doubt he's a fifth columnist from S6, I think he's genuinely passionate, with limited vision. I also can't see him getting banned, but Foxy should give some consideration to a three strikes and you're out repitition rule. Barny couldn't stop himself and he'd be gone by the end of the day.

And unlike post flounce, there'd be no way back....

Although I don't rate him and rated Clough even less, we have to stick with Adkins to get us out of this - who the hell else would want the job?

It won't be this season and I doubt it will be next. We all know the problem, we have no central defence worth talking about: a pair of pretty average (that's being generous) goalkeepers: a totally benign midfield (except when Baxter gets off his backside): and a forward line that only seems able to score when it's awarded penalties.

In other words, it's a complete rebuild. Let's hope we can hang on to League 1 whilst it's being carried out.

We didn't play badly at Swindon (for once) this season.

It doesn't work, unless everyone uses it. It's more frustrating to read responses to bollocks posts and have to fill in the initial bollocks.

There's a ban function, and hopefully Foxy will pull the trigger soon.

Why would he do that? Barny may not be everyone's cup of tea but at least he is not abusive.

He deserves all the abuse I've thrown at him. But I'd love to take one for the team if it got rid of him too.

I'd rather read a forum without him than contribute to one with him.

No. You'd get banned, and I wouldn't.

Abuse is against the rules, opinions aren't.

Completely sick of it all. A complete fucking joke, none of the other big clubs that dropped down here stayed for 5 years, yet here we are about to head into our 6th year and we are getting worse every year. The people that run the club should be ashamed that they haven't managed to sort this out.

all teams thats come from this position to get up had been as bad as weve been
records say so

It's nice you've got a lot of little statistics from the Internet.

Sadly in reality, they bare little relevance to our numerous issues.

The gap keeps getting bigger and bigger and the performances week in week out are poor.

The gap we need to keep an eye on the is the 4 point gap between us and 6th place.

This is our only realistic chance of going up.

We need to find whatever it was that allowed to us to win those 4 games on the bounce at the start of the season, otherwise we'll need to start looking at the wrong end of the table soon.

What allowed us was we played some shit teams (Blackpool for one) and a league 2 club in the league cup.
Hardly a renaissance :o

Not beaten anybody all season that has been above us in the table - and that list is growing.

Keep conceding the first goal and not turned over a result from that position all season. Tells you a lot about the character in this side. There isn't any, despite what Adkins professed yesterday in his post match interview.

Fair points but we've also lost to some "shit" teams too.

I didn't really follow the match yesterday.

Didn't think about going and for the first time this season, I didn't really keep too much of an eye on how we got on.

Not majorly pissed off when I saw we were losing and not really ectastic when I saw we'd equalised.

I think the losing in interest has coincided with realising we won't be seriously up there challenging this season.

I've seen other threads of people's intetest starting to decrease, is this a wide spread thing? Many others feeling it?

I have a season ticket so I'll still be there every other week but last week when we pulled one back, I barely even celebrated.

I don't share others irrational dislike of the manager because anyone with half a brain can see that our issues run deeper than that.

It's obviously difficult to get excited about a season where we're scrabbling around in midtable, and with a gap now opened between us and 6th place we're going to face an uphill battle to get into the top 6 come the end of the season.

I think my interest will return should we have a proper rebuild next season but I fear Adkins won't last that long and we'll pull the trigger again, hire someone worse, and go through the exact same scenario again.

Then my interest will go completely.

I wish I wasn't but I'm with you here. First time in ages I didn't bother listening to the Blades game and just watched the scores come in. I looked at the shoutbox on here a few times to see posts like "Getting battered" and "under the cosh here" and I genuinely felt totally relaxed by the situation whereas in the past I would have been biting my nails.

I'm still clearly interested as I'm posting on here and still doing the View Froms but I just feel almost on auto pilot supporting the club at the moment. When we equalized against Southend I don't think I even punched the air. I just stood and clapped politely

I'm sure the passion will come back but at the moment I don't even feel anger towards the club just total apathy.

wrong there, everybody was above us after the first game :(

I feel the same as many others, but if we string a few wins together it will return. Even if we're 4 points off second spot I will be biting my nails again. We're not too far off that, but it seems like we're falling further away from the top two every game. We aren't the outstanding team in this division but we've got some players who we know can step up and perform better. Brayford's return could give us a big psychological boost. I hope he's on the bench at Barnsley.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if the mass clearout of players we're all expecting doesn't materialise.

It would be far easier (i.e less ambitious) to give Collins etc. a 1 year deal. Would not surprise me one bit.

Thing is, bar the Weir/Clough season, we have always been 'x' points away. History suggests we are going through the same motions hoping for different results.
