As much as i hate to say it but i can see the truth in it,for 1 its still very local for him and 2 id say hes a championship player in the making.That said i would love him at the lane even though i have faith that clough and all of his staff will get us the STRIKERS required to get us in the top TWO next season

Good call Bergen. I think that's exactly what Clough will do and in many ways hungry "these you've never heard of signings" can sometimes by the best. If Brayford goes back to Cardiff I think he'll do the same to replace him.

Iif we did have £3m hypothetically, I would rather we signed 2 strikers at 1.5 than one striker at 3 anyway. We need strength in depth and can't be relying too heaviily on one man like we did 3 years ago. Otherwise, once they're missing you go down the pan. We need to build a squad, but there are plenty of good options available other than Wilson.

Brian Deane? Lee Morris? Claude Davis? Jordan Slew.......

Though we've never really had any net busters, it's really a myth that (on average) we undersell our players.

What the lad Gray at Luton like?

This is the sort of player we can reasonably expect to be looking to buy. The only consideration is whether he's another Lyle Taylor, although I think there is more to come from Taylor with the right tuition as he does have pace and power and no one could fault his effort while he was here earlier in the season.

I've not seen Gray play, but from reports from Luton fans, he is quick and takes his chances when they come. He's not the tallest, but he's strong and has clearly coped well with the physical aspects of the game in the Conference.

It would be so easy for us to sign someone for a fortune on top wages and be lumbered for the next three years.
It's all a gamble and so far NC has been lucky for us,so lets just hope it continues....
