which was better your 1st game or your 1st kit. My first game was Aldershot v Utd 17/04 1982 1-1 draw. My kit definately smashes it.

First game would be an early home match from the start of 72/73 season, although I really cannot remember which one. I do recall being in absolute awe of the pitch and ground as I walked up the stairs to see it for the first time.
I was allowed to go once I'd started school and I used to alternate with my brother for home matches going with Dad & Grandad.
The home matches I missed were made more bearable by fleecing my Grandma in Redgates.
