Never understood that attitude about playing us to be honest - not since we built Coward's Way.

Along with Arsenal, Chelsea & Fulham, Millwall is the most central London club. Most healthy people could easily walk from the ground to Buckingham Palace, Big Ben or the London Eye. In fact I've often enjoyed a stroll along the Southbank on a sunny day before a match.

There's plenty of great pubs around London Bridge, before you hoo hop on the train and get dropped off pretty much on top of the ground after a short 4 minute journey. You can take a direct walk way straight to the away turnstiles. Can there be many more convenient football grounds in the country?

And if you aren't looking for trouble you could quite easily enjoy the Bermondsey Beer Mile - one of the best in the country.

Or you could come in from various parts of London, as the Jublilee line serves Bermondsey tube.

The away end had good, unrestricted views and Millwall have a policy of letting home and away fans buy block, rather than seat specific tickets behind the goals - meaning you can sit with friends and family. Plus our stewards and the Met are well verseved and dont mind letting you have a swear and sing.

I get many dont like us as a club - but to say it's the shittiest away day is a bit silly imo.

Plus, The Den is literally the only ground in the entire country where your safety as an away fan is 100% assured. If you are not looking for trouble you can use a special walk way from train to away end.

And if you fancy yourself as a bit of a hooligan, then you can find trouble by simply getting the train to Surrey Docks instead.

So something for everyone.

But yes, be happy if you get Ipswich away!
I'm looking forward to it. So will plenty of Blades. Realistically, you're not the most glamorous club in the championship but there are a lot of London based Blades and many in Sheffield who like a trip down to London.

I get the unglamourous bit. My point was really about the 'away day' bit... As an away day surely Millwall can be one of the better ones in the Championship? For all the reasons given.

Yet, Charlton get double the amount of away fans attending games at The Valley compared to The Den - despite it being further out & in a drab area. Same with Palace, which is in the absolute pits of greater London suburbia & a shit away end.

Is our rep really THAT bad? Crikey, when the regen goes ahead there won't even be a walkway for away fans from the station anymore - we will go back to the days of Derby County bringing 150 fans for an August Saturday 3pm fixture?

Hopefully the club will stock this new beer and numbers will rise...

Yes, unfortunately your rep is that bad. I know the club has done a lot to try to combat this but you have an element of supporters who are cunts. Once again, you were on national TV kicking off at Wembley. So it perpetuates.
