My prediction is that Henderson will be with us for another season on loan. Then we'll buy a different keeper because we decide it's time for someone permanent and Hendo will be too expensive. Henderson will return to Man Utd and bench warm for a season, getting frustrated, before going out on loan again to someone else or maybe being sold to one of the mid-table big money clubs that will stump up for him, like Everton or Newcastle.

We made him a great keeper. He had all the “tools in his box” but our Chrissie with the help of Darren Ward showed him how use them.

Just like he never made any secret that he wanted to be England no1. A player who can openly be honest whilst putting in the shifts that Hendo does is to be admired for his diligence, skill, professionalism and honesty. Somewhat refreshing I think. Hendo should be applauded for this not criticised. Look at the way last season he took that bollocking from Stevens and the way he bounced back with the comments from Wilder. He is a true professional. Not many young lads can be called that because they haven’t been around long enough to learn it......except, Hendo has.

Hendo is a great keeper but unless Man U start to understand they need to bring some senior players in rather than bringing in more young players to replace experienced professionals they’ll be in big trouble. I think there’s a strong argument for him to keep away from OT until they’ve got rid of OGS and got a proper manager in, along with someone to run the football side of the business properly.

There is something about that signing that has me asking questions.. A 4 year deal for a free transfer back up keeper?seems ludicrous To me unless they really do see him as No1 material and tbh I don't think CW would bring someone in who couldn't compete for the No1 spot

As good as Hendo is he is far from the finished article, his kicking stats are the worst in the Prem and he has a habit of being beat on the near post, also he doesn't command the six yard box enough for me. When we have ironed all those traits out Man Utd will have a world class keeper not us.

CW stated quite clearly on FH this week that it would have to be a loan deal. Agree that it’s likely Henderson would want to play regular Premier League football. If Man Utd block a loan or insist on him staying he’d want away to the best contract. CW is aware of these options and is unlikely to be scratching around in the pre-season transfer window. I know we are not home and hosed yet but, realistically, a second season in the Premier League is likely. Sheffield United as a football club, playing squad, organisation and our ambition has , eventually, got the plaudits, we richly deserve.
