It's more of a slow drip drip of idiocy in the South Stand. There's a bloke behind me who yells, nay spits, "yer black bastard!" at the ref dozens of times every bloody game.

I'm praying for a black ref to roll up one day so he gets himself kicked out...
 



I was at the back of the kop and didn't see a thing. Incidentally I got a seat in which another chap usually sits, something to do with his son who doesn't go now, and when he turned up yesterday I allowed him to sit in the seat. Plenty of others nearby so not a problem. Clearly not everybody is of a like mind. We all stand as well, causes even less of a fuss. Be plenty of seats next year LOL
 
First matches as a kid were stood on Bramall Lane terrace. Then it became the away end. Unfortunately, my dad and his mates didn't know this (god knows how not) and I'm sure I remember for the first match after having to climb into the South Stand. Must have been about 7, so might be wrong.
Then stood on the kop for many years and sat on it, but finally got hacked off with being rained on, sun in eyes etc. and moved to South Stand with some mates about 6 years ago. Gangway G so a bit of atmosphere, especially for the bigger games, and I wouldn't go back. My 10 year old has had a season ticket with us for the past 4 years, and I've never been tempted to ever consider the kop again. Must be an age thing, but quick entry and exit and the ability to get to the bogs / refreshments easily is great, plus the seats actually have some leg room and the view is miles better.

The south stand is the first to sell out for all the big games, so it looks like a lot share your view of it. I'm happy just to be in the ground.
 
I sit on the kop, but as I go on my own most of the time at the moment, I often stand up at the back with some friends who have season tickets there. It's quite simply like a creche at times.

I've never had, in my near 20 years watching United, such a hatred of our own 'fans' than these people who stand there. Ignorant plankton whose existence seems to be centred around spitting and fighting with people from rival schools.

I'll be moving to the South Stand next season.

Recently instead of the £20 for a ticket I've been happy sat in the bagshaw watching the results keeping warm and with the £20 having 6pts of Stella extra.. Good life ;)

Wiz what ever people think after the Peterborough game I said to our old man I can't watch this any more. An I'm not going again until we get promoted an I see improvement I'm not wasting my weekends no more, I'm a blade but I'm a footballing loving bloke and I'd rather sit with my mates drinking pints have a bet watching the results and keeping warm at the same time.

Don't blame you mate, it's very frustrating at the moment. I don't think anyone is less of a blade just because they choose not to go, each to their own. Also, some people say we aren't badly priced compared to some clubs but i personally think we're paying too much to watch league one football, especially when you take your kid/s aswell, it makes it worse when it's like watching paint dry. Ah well, i'll carry on being a daft twat and paying for it:D
 
I used to go on the kop or sometimes the lane end in the 70's when a kid.I remember standing behind net v Newcastle when home and away fans were together,around 1975.
Had a season ticket in South stand in early 80's then progressed to john street terrace (away end) later in 80's.
Had another spell in the kop,early to late 90's now go in the South stand.

Now that's exactly what happened to me on the kop when Currie scored 'a quality goal by a quality player.'

I must be getting old. Didn't expect to end up sixty yards away when we scored against Fleetwood...:D
 
Stood on the Kop for a Manchester City match, I think in the late 60s - just below the ledge right behind the goal.

A golf ball hit me on the head and hit the white railings at the bottom. Still seeing stars, I stood up and waited for the sympathetic questions, such as "are you all right mate?"

A voice said "no fucking backspin, try again"

We didnt play at home to Newcastle in 1975 (played them on a Tuesday night in August 74- we won 2-1). Played them twice in 1976. We won with a Guthrie goal in April and in August we lost 1-0 in an Anglo Scottish Cup match where there was a lot of fighting in the kop. Drew 0-0 in a FA Cup 3rd round in January 1977 (I remember looking from the BLUT before the match to see several policemen getting into the BLLT to drag out a big fan and they pulled his trousers down in an effort to stop him from being difficult to handle. A photo of him with his trousers down was on the front page of the Green Un that evening)
 
Someone were slagging Clough, then someone told him to shut up and support team (or sumat along them lines)
They got into a scuffle, this big lad tried splitting it up saying c'mon we're all Blades arn't we,
and he got a cheap shot, knocked him clean out, split his top lip open, I helped him up, got him some tissues etc
He dint have a clue what happened he we're proper dazed. I tried to help stewards find him, but he'd took his scarf what he had over his face off and took his jacket off apparently so i had no chance. Little w*nker.
 
I wanted to grab hold of kid who hit him but i had our lasses 14 year old sister with me so dint want to get into a feyt me sen.
It's annoying tho, bloke only trying to help and ends up in A&E.

Well done mate, was looking out for my pregnant wife and Down's syndrome brother at the time
 
No way are we going up lord boz but I like your standpoint since its the only way I can be accepting of the mess down there currently.
In no way will I ever feel compelled to fight anyone, Blade or otherwise.
