Really pleased for this lad. I called for him to come on at HT to help JRS by giving Johnson something else to think about. Brilliant block and read that attack brilliantly to get the block in. Fell to his knees in celebration when the final whistle went. He's contributing and feeling a part of the team. Hopefully he fulfils his potential and does it with us.

I thought that block summed up the quality of our defence. It was easily their best moment of play from the whole game and it got them through two lines of the defence, but even then we got back so that Cooper still wasn’t called into action. He was completely protected the whole match and never needed to exert himself.

Yep, Wilder deserves great credit for the inspired sub. Feminine deserves great credit for playing out of his skin.
Huge credit to Wilder.
It was the obvious switch and a few people called it at half time, but everyone thought the change would be made around 60-70 mins.
Changing it early created the momentum for the goal and changed the rest of the game.

Before his Beerschott loan he was flying in the U21's and was my pick of that talented bunch, but he lost his way for various reasons. Great to see him back on track.
He was always great pushing forward but his defending has improved hugely.
We are in good shape in that position, Seriki and Gilchrist will be pushing each other and hopefully we'll see them both develop further this season.

Lots of people advocate loans but I would prefer a player staying with us who care for the player long term development

Channels, one of the massive improvements we've seen this season is the use of subs. It's a 16 man game now and CW and AK are using our subs really well. In previous seasons we've almost been reactive with them leaving it far too late to change. Now we are reactive forcing other teams to react to us.

Seriki can go all the way to the very top. He's quick, strong, brave and can attack at pace. He will become more composed with experience.

With his progress I'm starting to wonder whether we should be using him more. He's our man and I'd like to see him develop this season so that next season he's first choice irrespective of which division we are playing in. Nothing against Gilchrist who is a very good defender but he's going back at some point. Politically difficult with Chelsea i guess and maybe we don't change a winning formation?

It was a bold yet necessary and proactive change as he was always going to change Rak-Sakhi around 60-70 mins, it had to done early and it was effective because Jez was on the pitch to overload our right side.

It was not a Wilder type change and with Blaster off at half time, Peck coming in to a tight midfield, you could also forgive Wilder if he didn’t make this change to let the game settle in rather than be bold. It worked well. Seriki looked class and worked well with Rak-Sakhi as well as linking with Hamer and O’Hare as they put the miles in

A very athletic, talented lad, great technical ability and gets stuck in. He has a great foundation to build upon. Will have shit games here and there but been impressed with him so far.

Femi is awesome. One issue though, the vultures will be circling above him already :(

We need to go up asap to keep a hold of our wonder kids.
