Felt a bit sorry for SWFC today

I tell you who I do have sympathy for, Barnsley. Pipped to it in the PO, they were the better side but for a spozzy goal, Wednesday that day had players they couldn’t afford and shouldn’t have been at the club, some would say that’s not playing to the rules, an unfair advantage, let’s call it what it is, cheating.

Man shoots himself in the face with crossbow..

“Have some sympathy for him.”

Fuck him, the silly cunt, and fuck them. They’ve brought this shit upon themselves. They can all go fuck themselves.

Despite myself, I felt sorry for them. Despite a bit of a rally and the goal, that side will struggle in League One. No quality, no leadership and a manager who has done absolutely nothing wherever he’s been.

The only thing they’ve got to look forward to is James Bord taking them over, or a protracted car crash watching the takeover fall apart. Bord was pretty diabolical for us and if they don’t get taken over fast, they could be due another points deduction next season. Could League Two be on the cards?

I heard some muppet on the train talking about “Older, Bigger, Better”. Even that sounded half hearted. Looking at BDTBL and hearing the progress of the Dore new training facility, we really are moving decades ahead of them. They’ve got nothing going for them.
FFS Rod, I open the thread hoping the first post was going to contain copious amounts of sarcasm. But it looks like you mean it. By jove man, give your head a wobble. This is the pigs we are talking about here.

My viewpoint was thinking, this is what they've become. 1 win at Bramall Lane since the 60s, they were competitive then and they've been competitive everytime we've played them.

Of course they've been fortunate to not be on for a big pasting.

But at 11 v 11 and 10 v 10 it was what I imagine it can be like if Newcastle played Gateshead at home.

No I don't feel sorry for them at all. It'd be like having sympathy for the Devil. Fuck them. I hate the bastards!!

I remember genuinely feeling sorry for them for a couple of minutes after Andy Lineghan headed the ball through Chris Woods’ hands in the last minute of extra time in the FA Cup reply. My mum said “would they feel sorry for you?” and then I got over it.
I remember having a conversation with my uncle Pete who is a Wendy fan about Linighan's winner in that FA Cup final replay. He was annoyed with me for not supporting Wendy in the final. He said I should be supporting a team from Sheffield not from London. My dad then said with a smile on his face "We wanted the Bastards to lose!"

They have absolutely no humility. The Andrew Mountbatten of football supporters. They’ve ended up with the team and club they deserve.
The supposed over celebration is such an obvious tongue in cheek wind up from us and they are too thick to cope with it.
I think they still cling to Boxing Day to cover up their embarrassment over the Bounce being so fucking funny to everyone but them.

I have about as much sympathy for them as they have points on the board, a big fat fucking less than zero. Nor do I have sympathy for friends or family, casual acquaintances or media hacks, who may be perfectly reasonable in the day to day, but when footy's involved, they all get drawn to this mystery universe where their stadium isn't responsible for 96 deaths, they've been top end Premier League mainstays since its inception, their average crowd is around 400'000 and they've never lost to us.

They honestly think that should Pep leave City he'd want to go there. The list goes on, I genuinely believe they have some kind of mental deficiency similar to the MAGA morons over here. There's no reasoning with them so fuck 'em. I genuinely hope they go bust.

UTBFTP 👊👊👊

We all have decent Wednesday mates who are down to earth sensible types, till your back is turned. Don't be deceived, when they are away from you they are all the fuckin same. Always have been, always will be.

I agree

Don't get me wrong I loved today.

But I've nest mates who are pigs. Their club is fkd. And I'd hate it if it was ours.

I walked our after thinking what a shame no more Derby Days.

I've had a quality day.

I had a few uncles who somehow had managed to wrangle new post war council houses on Parson Cross and Shiregreen, while me, mi mum n dad had to sleep in the attic at my grandmothers house on Earsham St.

They were all typical Wednesday to a man, 72000 this 65000 that and never shut up about it. Well I'm glad I was brought up in the attic because my two cousins who lived next door were Blades who I looked up to and not the gloating Parson Cross and Shiregreen pig supporting twats that still makes my piss boil when I think of them seventy years later.

I wouldn't say I feel sorry for them but they are so tragic. I half admire them for seemingly being able to live outside the reality of their situation. I can't say I want them to get better but the derbies have been completely one way traffic for over a decade and it almost feels like we need a more equal rival. Even in the draws we completely dominated.

Throwing shirts into the ground after drawing is one thing but seeing them celebrate not getting hammered is pitiful so I can see why people feel sorry for them

The rest of the season and early next season will define whether our 6 points (received with grateful thanks) were a turning point. Playoffs and promotion with a chance of staying up, Wendy struggling and staying down will put a gulf between us. Us in the champ and them running away with L1 it will only be a temporary blip.
I’ll will feel sorry for them when we have a genuine sense of long lasting superiority. There is a better chance than we have had before.

Just reading some of the social media... I could have sworn we won the game and relegated them... But it seems like they beat us.... again ..

Hopefully one day wilder will win a game against them 😔

Sympathy come between shit & syphilis in the dictionary, not between Blades & pigs.
The pigs are shit but I have zero sympathy, either for them or for their syphilis infected followers.

I realise that many of the Wendy supporters are complete bellends however I have friends who are lifelong Wendy supporters who are not what I would describe as as bellends or idiots but who are no less fanatical supporters of their club than I am of the Blades. I try and put myself in their place and think how completely depressed I would be if we were in their position. To that extent I do feel sorry for the supporters.
