Felt a bit sorry for SWFC today

Not sure what’s making you think that?, they had a 10 minute spell after the sending off, other than that offered nothing despite the 40 minute man advantage.

We were rubbish for 80+ minutes after Burrows made it 2-0 in the 19th.

How on earth did we make it so hard after such a good start?

Despite myself, I felt sorry for them. Despite a bit of a rally and the goal, that side will struggle in League One. No quality, no leadership and a manager who has done absolutely nothing wherever he’s been.

The only thing they’ve got to look forward to is James Bord taking them over, or a protracted car crash watching the takeover fall apart. Bord was pretty diabolical for us and if they don’t get taken over fast, they could be due another points deduction next season. Could League Two be on the cards?

I heard some muppet on the train talking about “Older, Bigger, Better”. Even that sounded half hearted. Looking at BDTBL and hearing the progress of the Dore new training facility, we really are moving decades ahead of them. They’ve got nothing going for them.. Their history is a litany of lying, cheating and avoidance from Kay,Layne and Swan to Mackerel and the safety certificate.
I have no sympathy whatsoever.

I feel a little sorry for some of my friends and family members who are owls. The ones who don’t bang on about them being massive sleeping giants, the normal ones. I’d be absolutely devastated if it were my club.

I feel absolutely zero sympathy for the massives. The if Mr Chansiri has got money he should be allowed to spend it brigade. The why are the EFL punishing the fans. The racists. The ones with the superiority complex… fuck them.

Yes the level did drop slightly after the second goal I agree, but they were no threat what so ever first half. For me if we keep 11 on the pitch it’s a comfortable 3/4-0. Once it was back to 10 v 10 could easily have had a couple in the last few minutes.

If, yeah.

If, if, if.

The fact is we didn't keep eleven on the pitch and we'd dropped off massively long before Phillips was sent off.

Wednesday might not realistically score another away goal for the rest of the season.

We bent over, parted our cheeks and fucking begged them to score two.

Didn't feel one bit of sympathy for them. This was coming 5+ years Go and they didn't protest their owner. In fact the few that did had to stop due to their own fans threatening them.

I haven't watched any league one since we left it so no idea of the quality these days. I am hoping Leicester and West Brom go down to make it even harder for them to come back

I feel sorry for my mates who support them, as they’re, on the whole, realistic and not ‘massive’, but as a general collective and the way they’ve lauded it with their ‘no income tax, no vat, viva Chansiri’ attitude and their spendathon dreams of late, fuck em. They’ve made their bed, I hope they’re flushed through the football league into the u-bend of non-league obscurity for ever more.
I repeat. Fuck em. Tramps.

Don’t agree with that, they never came close or looked like scoring a second. Am I frustrated we didn’t put 5 past them after the start we had yeah of course, but they never had any extended period of control even with the extra man.

We had a man sent off .
They were on top for a short spell of 5-10 minutes
We changed things round and they posed no further threat ,then they had a man sent off and we had several chances to kill the game

Where you get rubbish for 80 minutes from I've no idea but given your general melancholy outlook I suspect you are stuck in the spell where they looked threatening and can't escape

You were never worried they were going to equalise then?

They're worse than abysmal and we welcomed them back into the game with open arms.

What should have been a glorious day turned into an agonising stress watch for no reason apart from our own self inflicted fuckwittery again.

You don't half talk some shit at times.

If this takeover falls through, which it could well do, they'll be lucky to start next season and I still won't feel sorry for them.

I don't think it will fall through, he's got a club in Scotland and Spain which he's not failed tests for.

But I don't think he will be any better than Chansiri as an owner... perhaps even worse.

I might feel something resembling empathy when they go under and then a handful of splintered-off phoenix clubs start hating each other. But not a moment sooner.

We completely controlled up to the sending off and regained control not long after it

That's not the way I saw it.

The fact is, we went 2-0 up in the 19th minute at home against the worst Championship team in history.

When the final whistle went on 90+8 I breathed a sigh of relief.

That should never have happened.

You've always had a soft spot for the pigs while claiming to be a Blade.

We had a spell after the sending off and their goal where we were wobbling a bit. They had a few threats down the left hand side but in effect, didn't really trouble our goal again.

Even if it had turned into a glorious day, you'd still have found something to moan about.

And for what it's worth, I have fuck all sympathy for Sheffield Wednesday.
